Far Away's stretch tent was used for my festival 'Gearfest' in 2015 and it looked amazing! It was the perfect size for 150-200 people dancing during the night but also never felt too big /over kill with less people wandering in throughout the daytime which can be a problem for lots of large structures. The brown canvas and large wooden stakes create a fantastic earthy, naturalistic feel which is so much nicer than a plain white marquee! Such a beautiful tent on its own but with added décor and lighting it's the backdrop for an incredible venue for any occasion and extremely versatile to the shape you want. We got married at Bickley Barns in August 2022. Our friend styled their very first wedding and as soon as we saw the pictures, we knew we had to check it out. This was before we even realised it was just 15 minutes from our house. I got in touch and arranged to visit, the marquee wasn’t up but we had seen it clearly in photos, we got a feel for the grounds and spoke with Jen about our vision and their terms and we booked a date there and then. Jen was super professional and helpful but also relaxed, we wanted to have our actual ceremony there (celebrant led) which they hadn’t had anyone do before, but she was sure as well as we were, that we could make it work. We hadn’t viewed any other venues but we knew Bickley Barns and the team were a perfect match for us and the laidback wedding we’d been dreaming of. I loved that we could pretty much do whatever we wanted. We had complete autonomy when choosing the caterers, stylist, celebrant, layout, entertainment etc. I had regular contact with Jen throughout the planning stage, she was easy to communicate with and got excited with us which was so nice! She was super organised and made sure we had every last detail covered. Our big day at Bickley Barns was perfect! Jen and Teresa were angels on the day, and by this point felt like friends. The grounds looked so beautiful, and everyone commented on how much they loved the venue. The whole day ran so smoothly and everyone (including me) was so happy and relaxed. We had the best day ever! Many guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Bickley Barns is a rare gem especially this side of Bristol, and we can’t recommend them enough.
