Rather Good Ltd is a small company providing mindset coaching and mediation for people who want to get more from life. I am Karen Adams of Rather Good Ltd, and I am a recovering cynic. I worked in the construction industry for 20 years before discovering personally how valuable a positive mindset could be. I also realised I could be much more useful if I changed direction and worked with others to find their positivity and resourcefulness.

Otter Life coaching helps give the potential to look at oneself from an outside prospective and make real positive and constructive steps to a achive lifes goals, through guided verbal communication.
The thing I love most about my job is knowing that I am making a difference in people's lives. This makes me feel more powerful and happy.
I was lost after finishing my Masters. I was facing a great deal of uncertainty as prior to this I had always knew what the next step was. As well as that I was facing personal problems after losing contact with a close friend. It was a combination of things that made me hit rock bottom, but unlike most people I have always believed in myself and the future. Although feeling very low, I was determined to make something of myself, and unlike most people I was not afraid of what anyone else thought. Since being young I have been very independent, particularly mentally. I was quite a lonely lad growing up and so even though I have friends, I have never relied on them or on relationships to gain confidence, that is always something I have seen as being my responsibility. Down the years I have failed to do things I wanted out of fear, and it is experiences like losing a close friend, being in a car crash, and breaking my leg that has made me realise that life is to short to live it in fear.
I believe that the best coaches have a great deal of personal integrity. I like to think that I walk my talk. Although my life is far from perfect, I am very open with my clients about my own personal struggles, and continuously work on my own life to make sure that I am in a great place for my clients. Another strength of mine is my flexibility, having coached in the US, different ages (children and adults), different social backgrounds, I feel I am able to build rapport with lots of different people. Lastly I am very young and hungry, because of this I am very serious about helping people to reach their goals. Although I believe the client must want to progress themselves, I think a coach that points out when a client is slacking, is much more likely to be effective. Overall I think it is my person principles that make me the coach I am.
