DO IT ONCE - DO IT RIGHT We offer a design service that will get the very best out of your garden. The designs we produce will form a package of information that can be passed to contractors to obtain competitive quotes for the work. "Design" is by far the most important part of any project. The one thing that is certain is that regardless of the size of your garden the cost to create a new patio and landscaped area will be substantial in this day and age.

First of all I had never heard of bark before.
I spent a month ringing landscaping teams from Google search, all of which were booked up for at least a year, the ones I got quotes from were pricing me up at the same price I could build an adjacent bungalow or extension. £20,000 was my cheapest quote.
My budget was around £5000. I didnt want to spend anymore than that on my garden.
So I then Decided, what if I can get a garden designer, who can take on board all my ideas and tastes, plan the landscaping and design it according to my budget?
Well, I put my details into bark and I looked at the results, I browsed the designers and I looked at the top recommendation , which was angel Martin home and garden design, and his designs were out of this world. Mind-blowing. Did I contact him? No. Why? Because I didn't think I had a chance of being able to afford someone that talented! I didn't even continue with my bark results, I gave it up as a bad job.
Then a few days later, Martin Nealon from Angel Martin messaged me on my email. Saying that he would love the opportunity to work on my garden.
So I replied and said, your designs are amazing but there's no chance I can afford you sorry.
Cutting a long story short, the conversations I proceeded to have with Martin about my garden and his design fees were such a breath of fresh air.
I couldn't believe I could afford him.
Now I may have spent around 45 percent of my budget on design fees.
But let me tell you what I have for my money.
Martin met me alone first of all in my garden and instantly knew what he was going to come up with. You could hear the cogs turning as he wetted my appetite with his ideas.
He and his assistant Helen then came a second time after agreeing to proceed, and spent around 2 hours in my garden measuring and jotting down notes, and sketching.
The next day, to my shock, he said your design is ready.
I went to his home to view the design, and he had a 3D visual model of my home and garden to scale on his computer. I was blown away.
And his design was mesmorising.
He had designed the garden, sorting out all the levels, where the drainage goes, where the lighting goes, where the cables go, where the walls go, everything to the detail, ordinance surveys done of my property, overhead photos, sewer lines, gas lines, the lot.
He took into account planning permission , line of sight for traffic, possible disputes, not only did he design the garden, he went above and beyond, he rendered my house, did my driveway, and planned lines for possible future extensions haha.
There's more, so he walked me through my garden with a 3d visual video looking at everything in detail. Explaining everything.
I then was sent a 48 page PDF document full of visuals, charcoal drawn and 3d digital visuals, along with links and photos of the materials, the lighting, furniture, planting schemes, everything.
In the 48 page digital document which you can print off too, I had the ordinance surveys, the scale drawings, things I can give to landscapers, builders, electricians in the future and say ...get it done. Lol.
Do you think I was happy?
Well, there's even more.
Even tho the first design was outstanding, I decided due to my taste and preference that some of the materials and aspects were too modern, and there were other things I'd like to include.
Was this a problem ?
Not at all, within a day or two new visuals were sent over to include what I'd requested in an email.
Wow.
I was blown away ...again.
So now I have the design all sorted, I'm now going to do a lot of it myself. I have everything in detail enabling me to crack on.
And whilst I do my garden, however long it takes, Martin has made it clear he's on board for the journey. If I get stuck, need something explaining, need him to come look at something, hes there.
So in conclusions, getting in a garden designer, even tho it may be a large chunk of your budget blown, it's a large chunk blown in the most important area. The planning! If it's planned meticulously to the detail, and to your budget, then there not going to be any hidden costs or surprises in the future. Any contractors you get In, you don't need to explain anything, there's no scratching of heads in the garden wasting your time and money, they have a detailed plan to work from.
And there's plenty you can do from the plan to save costs also.
I strongly recommend hiring Angel Martin Home and Garden design.
But don't just take my word for it, check out their website. Look at his work. It speaks for itself. My garden is the one with apple tree! Enjoy. You won't regret it.

Hello! I'm Leticia, a freelance interior designer with a background in Fashion. I have found true happiness in designing spaces rather than clothes. As a mother, housewife, and avid host, I have developed a keen eye for detail, practicality, comfort, and budget-consciousness. These qualities shine through in my designs, ensuring that every project I undertake is visually appealing, functional, and within the client's budget.

Working with Leticia Coelho was an absolute pleasure. Her design skills are truly impressive, and she has a great eye for detail. She helped me to transform my wardrobe, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only is she talented, but she's also a kind and friendly person who made the experience even better. I would highly recommend Leticia to anyone looking for a top-notch interior designer.
Our focus is to create spaces that evoke a sense of joy, through the use of colour and texture. We prioritise sustainability and use the concept 'reuse, recycle & reinvent' at the heart of all projects but understand the need to work within a brief. Its important that all spaces we work on and within are functional and work well but that also connect emotional with the user to ensure the most can be taken from each room or building. We also offer services to support with property styling or photoshoot styling, after over a decade working with creative projects, we can support with commercial or residential spaces, Visual Merchandising and customer experience projects.
My process begins with speaking with the Client. I like to really understand the design requirements before I bring my twist of joyful, sustainable, yet functional design. I take inspiration from nature and colour, I'm not a trend driven designer. Following the initial briefing, I will create a process map for the project and depending on the task required, provide the client with a timeline and end result goal. From that point on, it is all about cracking on with the task. I am an excellent communicator and believe that clear and concise communication is key to driving any project.
I can cater for any style, it is important to me that the Client is happy with their space. I will always encourage the use of colour, texture and print as I believe it brings joy and creates happiness.
I love the process of transformation, seeing what can be and driving a project to create something new. I can visualise the end result at the beginning of any project and I love to watch the Client's face as the transformation is in each stage.
I'm passionate about a work life balance and believe that working for myself offers me the best way to achieve the lifestyle I want. I also want to bring more joy to the world through creative design and I believe this is the best way to do it, without the parameters of working for someone else.
I'm a clear and direct communicator with creative ideas, drive to create greatness and deliver the brief. My priority will always be fulfilling the requirement of the customer.
I can absolutely provide my services remotely, I am open to facetime, zoom calls, email, whatsapp etc. I've worked with clients in many ways and can accommodate to the requirements. I've also worked with clients in different timezones and hemispheres so I am open to meetings at adhoc times.
Customer safety is absolutely a priority at Joy Interiors. We follow all government regulations and recommendations and if a client requested any additional safety measures that they preferred, we can factor them in.
