I start off with a concept design which involves any inspirational images or links to pinterest boards. We will pick out likes and dislike from these then develop a final concept design board/mood board. Once we are happy with the direction we are going in I develop the concept further by sourcing products and finishes for the design and show them in creative visuals. These give a real feel for how the scheme will work in the space and where furniture will be placed. Once we have discussed the visuals we will look at any areas where alternative products or finishes are needed and show the design revision in the final visuals. The design from concept to visuals will be given in a pdf package which will also include a list of products and links to order them if and when the project is to be completed.
I have knowledge and experience of creating styles from contemporary to Scandinavian, to eclectic to traditional. My personal taste is mixing old with new, contrasting vintage with modern with some lovely vibrant colour pops in between.
I love to take an idea or inspiration, however big or small and make it come to life. I'm a firm believer that if you can dream it you can do it. I see a design brief as a jigsaw puzzle and enjoy the process of piecing all of the aspects together to make it a functional and attractive space. It's a lovely feeling to create a unique interior for someone that they love and reflects them. Being creative for a living and making people happy really is a dream job!
Design has always been a part of my life and I knew it would be my career path from a very young age. I started my own business straight after university and with office based design jobs in between, I knew I would come back to having my own business eventually. After an initial phone call to collect all of the information and brief, its over to me to create the design and everything needed to execute the design. A design pack is then shared via email for the customer have with all the relevent information they need to move forward with their project.
