Hi,my name is Dal Robertson. I have been illustrating for about 10 years. Please feel free to check out my work on instagram my user name is dalbongo. I have been painting, drawing all my life and doing computer generated work for about 15 years. I am competent with Photoshop and currently use an I pad for art work for convenience. I can work in any medium, and I believe that my strongest skill, is being able to interpret the ideas and imagination of others. I love drawing in a cartoon style and also visualising.cocepts, however as previously mentioned, can draw In many different styles, so tell me what you want I any particular style and I'll do my best to creat it to your liking. I am looking to expand my professional portfolio, and gain a few commissions . I would love the opportunity to work as an artist full time, as I currently have a full time job, which is unrelated to the world of art. That said I am a very hard working person and will ensure that all deadlines are met. I am told and I believe that I possess a talent for art and that I would make a great asset to any art team. So what I'm really hoping for in the ideal situation, is for a company to get in touch, and offer me a career opportunity to come and work for them full time, however if that doesn't pan out, I would appreciate any offer of illustration work, no matter how small or big that may be. I am currently doing mainly caricatures for birthday presents and retirement gifts, which seem to make the perfect gift for someone who is hard to buy for. What I love most about creating artwork for people is their reaction to the finished pieces. It is so rewarding, seing someone else getting enjoyment out of something I have created for them.
I saw some work by other people doing caricatures, charging very high prices. Don't get me wrong there are some amazing caricature artists who deserve the high prices they are charging, however I have also been surprised how much some are charging, for substandard artwork. I believe that I was able to produce a much better quality piece of art for a lesser price. My artwork is priced on an individual basis, depending on the needs of the client and I believe I can offer a quality unique piece for a very reasonable price
I want a client to be completely satisfied with my artwork and work very hard to ensure that the client gets exactly what they pay for. I only do one picture at a time, so do have a waiting list, but a one client at a time ethic ensures that that persons project is completed on the time scale agreed and for the time I am working for them they get a personal service which allows me to concentrate just on them
