I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be extremely helpful. I was able to put a lot of aspects of my life into perspective by looking at/dealing with past issues in a way I hadn't thought of before. Christophe is professional and friendly and in one session it helped me rearrange my thoughts to get my life back on track. In the following days after the session, I was painting/reading/being creative again after years and I feel a stronger sense to care about myself and mental health. Very positive experience and genuinely helpful. (Note: I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks).

How can Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy help you? Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with Hypnosis. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnosis have a strong clinical evidence-base for effectiveness, helping you to achieve change at the very deepest levels and equipping you with transferable skills and techniques that you can use across many life situations. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is effective for • Reducing stress and anxiety • Phobia cure • Getting rid of negative attitudes and fears • Improving mental and physical health • Smoking Cessation • Weight management • Improving self-esteem and confidence • Setting and accomplishing desires and goals • Habit changes • Public speaking • Improving sports performance • Improving performance at exams • Chronic pain (with medical referral only) • IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) – (with medical referral only) What is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH?) Cognitive Behavioural hypnotherapy is a flexible approach. It's designed in such a way that the therapist and client are able to work together to achieve the therapy goal. CBT helps you understand the thoughts and feelings that influence your behaviours. During the course of treatment you learn how to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that have a negative influence on your behaviour and emotions, so that you can take control of how you interpret and deal with things. Hypnosis works by allowing you to be absorbed and focused for periods of time on the thoughts and experiences you’d like to be having. Hypnosis is a simple but extraordinarily powerful state in which, if you choose to, you can change behaviour, physical reactions, beliefs and emotional responses. It is an effective way to align the conscious mind, your will power and the subconscious mind – allowing you to make powerful, deep changes to improve the quality of your life. What to expect in a session Sessions begin with a discussion and a review of your progress towards your treatment goal. We talk about what it is you’re after, your problem and what you’d like to gain from treatment. Together we will look at the issue, how you experience it and how it affects your life. We work towards a personal treatment programme, tailored to you and your individual experience. The number of sessions you need will depend on you and your situation. You may get what you need after just one session, while others may need three, four, six or 10 sessions.
I love working collaboratively with my clients to set clear and specific therapeutic goals that we can measure progress against at every session.
It is my passion to help clients experience lasting change and to be equipped with valuable tools and techniques that will spill over positively into all aspects of life.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Hypnosis in my practice. My approach is entirely evidence based, meaning I only use techniques that have satisfactory clinical evidence for their efficacy.
I understand the true value of hypnosis and cognitive behaviour therapy, having overcome my own personal anxieties and challenges, using these proven techniques. I know from experience how we can help ourselves grow and transform our lives through understanding how our own thoughts shape our existence.
I have a background in teaching, leadership education, training and consultancy. I made the transition to therapeutic practice when I was awarded the James Braid scholarship to train with the UK College of Hypnosis (the only hypnotherapy training programme approved by The British Psychological Society). I now work for the UK College.
I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register, CNHC and the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register, CNHC and the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
I combine the two most powerful psychological therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy, offering the most effective and proven therapy currently available to address many issues.
I work with you to set clear goals so we can measure the success of the therapy and be specific about the change that has happened as a consequence of treatment. Sessions are confidential, supportive, solution-focused, and in a comfortable, safe environment.
The initial session is usually 90 minutes, after which each session is one hour.
A treatment plan will be agreed at the end of session one. Each session will have an agenda where your treatment goal is discussed and your progression towards it is assessed. Midway through, the sessions will be reviewed as a whole to assess your progress.
