I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and Integral Eye Movement therapist. I work with lots of different issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, fears and phobias, self-esteem and confidence, relationship issues, pain management, quit smoking, weight management issues plus many more. Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind through relaxation of the body and mind, when the body is relaxed the subconscious mind is more receptive to positive suggestions I make, thus changing the way you think and feel about the things that cause you distress.
None of us are perfect, we all have something we wish to change about ourselves. Contact me via my website to arrange a free initial consultation. I aim to provide a friendly, confidential and professional service, so please feel at ease to contact me for an informal, no-obligation chat about how we can work together to help you overcome your difficulties and concerns. I do not make judgements about the people I work with, I believe everyone is doing the best with what they have, though with the right support and help we can all find a way of doing things better. I get to help people make positive change in their lives, doing something I love.
I was a people manager in a global corporation for over 25 years and spent a lot of my time getting the best out of people to create high performing teams. The biggest pleasure I get in life is seeing people realising their potential and this is what motivates me. The COVID-19 pandemic made me re-evaluate my life, as it did for many people.
I felt the time was right for me to leave big business behind me and use my skills to help people from all walks of life to make positive changes in their lives. This way I can reach more people than I otherwise would and I can be my own boss.
The working relationship created between you and a therapist is vital to a successful outcome for you, so it is very important for you to work with a hypnotherapist who is qualified and with whom you feel comfortable. I may not be the right therapist for you.
I hold these principles close to my heart:
* I don't make judgements about anyone I work with.
* I have nothing but unconditional positive regard for people I work with.
* I treat all clients with the utmost care and confidentiality.
* We are all fellow strugglers. Nobody is perfect, myself included, and I think it's important for therapists to acknowledge this.
* I have been trained by the best in the country, I have a duty to use my skills to help people to the best of my ability.
Before I commit to working with someone, I have a 15-20 minute chat with them - for them to feel comfortable with me and ask any questions they have about how I work, and for me to feel I can work with them.
I will only work with clients I believe I can help. If I don't believe we can work together I will endeavour to point you in the right direction to get help elsewhere.
I work with clients in the UK and in other countries using online video apps. Zoom is my preferred option due to it's inbuilt security, though I can use other methods if the client prefers. If I work online I have a checklist I share with clients in advance, to make it clear how things will work, and what will happen if we get disconnected.
I have masks and hand-sanitiser available for clients wishing to work face to face and windows open in the therapy room when appropriate.
