For more than a decade, Promedica24 have been providing live-in care to vulnerable adults as a genuine alternative to residential care homes. We opened our first offices in Warsaw, Poland, in 2002 and since then, have expanded through Germany and the UK to become Europe’s largest provider of specialist live-in care. We are passionate about our client’s right to receive the highest quality of care in the comfort, security and familiarity of their own homes. We believe in the provision of care through kindness, experience, friendship and knowledge. From our UK managing director to every regional partner and each of our expert carers, we all pride ourselves on making a difference to people’s lives. Promedica24 proudly sets the standard in the care services industry, and have positively impacted on the lives of over 24,000 families to date. We are fully committed to helping improve health and social care in the UK by supporting and being engaged with national and local groups with the same aim. Our Charity of the Year is The Silverline which we will promote and raise funds for. We are a national member of the Dementia Action Alliance and a number of our Regional Partners are members of their local Alliance. We support the Dementia Friends initiative by training our staff and Regional Partners to be either Friends or Champions. Finally our Regional Partners support and raise funds for local charities and Promedica24 match their efforts. Our mission To be the leading live-in care provider in the UK by delivering a genuine and affordable alternative to residential care. Our belief A caring service starts with caring people, therefore we strive to recruit and train the highest quality care staff. Our CARE Comforting: Our service provides high-quality person-centred care at the most crucial time in our client’s lives. The stability of being able to remain in their own home and the continuity of care staff are real benefits of live-in care. Adaptable: Care isn’t a one size fits all. People are individuals and our client’s needs are assessed and understood before being matched with a carefully selected care worker. This personalised approach ensures better care. Responsive: When care is needed quickly our efficient process can provide almost immediate care provision. We work towards a 3-5 day promise from your in-home assessment of your care needs to the care worker starting with a client. Empowering: We provide real choice to our clients, the choice to stay in their own home, the liberty to decide how their day is spent. This provides the dignity that we would expect for ourselves.

What do you love most about your job?

I love my job. When someone I care for says thank you, or tells me they'll look forward to seeing me next time, I feel this lovely inner glow and it stays with me all day.

What inspired you to start your own business?

As one of our carers says, there's nothing better than seeing someone smile, knowing that you helped cause it. As another says, they learn something new every day. And every day is different, which helps you grow as a person as well as professionally. Caring actually teaches you about yourself.

Working in care gets rid of all the usual perceptions about older people. Too much of the time old people are treated like another species, but working with them soon makes you less judgemental. Older folk are just as smart as any other age group, just as funny, just as entertaining, kind, warm, interesting and generous. And their age means they have all sorts of amazing stories to tell. Best of all, they actually have the time to share those stories and pearls of wisdom, as well as listen to your own stories. It's an intimate role and it means you inevitably develop a close relationship with the people you support.

“I love my job. When someone I care for says thank you, or tells me they'll look forward to seeing me next time, I feel this lovely inner glow and it stays with me all day.”

It's great to realise that retirement doesn't have to mark the end of a useful life. Our carers are often reminded that new experiences and opportunities are around the corner no matter what age you are.

Why should our clients choose you?

Live-in care – also called ‘care at home’ – has been preserving people’s independence and dignity for years in the UK. Care at home means our care workers live in your home as a companion to assist with everyday tasks like cleaning, cooking and personal care. This way, you or loved ones who could benefit from care support, can keep active and stay at home where they are most comfortable. Companion care workers also support those with more advanced care needs like dementia, disability and stroke so that families can be confident that their loved ones are safe, comfortable and getting the most out of life. Our unique service enables us to provide live-in care within a short timeframe or deadline, anywhere within England, including rural areas
