After retiring this year I started taking guitar lessons with Stephen and have enjoyed every minute,. Stephen is very personable and knowledgeable teacher both in practical skills and music theory. I have learned a great deal in a short time and my skills are developing at a very satisfying pace. Thoroughly recommended.
Danny is a passionate educator and has over 15 years teaching experience. His teaching busines 'DG Guitar Tuition' has proven to be incredibly poular with his students. Success stories in the past have led students starting from scratch to signing recording contracts, to have the ability to study at degree level and to then return to private lessons with Danny, as post graduates.

Not only do you learn guitar you gain a greater knoledge and appreciation of music, also my progression has been fantastic, from leaning a simple chord to bar chords and scales, Dan has a great teaching ethos and teaches you what YOU want to learn at a pace YOU are comfortable with, I would recommend Dg Guitar Tuition to anyone.

SAM is the personable acronym of Sussex Academy of Music, a business started up in 2008 by two entrepreneurial youngsters in their early 20s. The premises are a converted business unit in the Riverside Business Centre, and being so new, are well equipped with nothing missing or broken. The situation is good as well - although it initially looks a bit soulless, a moment's walk over to the sea wall provides you with beautiful boats aplenty on the river and a lovely place to practise outdoors on a sunny Saturday. They mostly give lessons to youngsters, but adults can be involved as well. I went here, though, not as a student but to use their recording studio. This proved to be a good move on the part of those who were deciding. The studio was in good condition, with a little dais for drums and a medium sized area for recording - we fitted an eight piece band in here comfortably for a day's session. Our engineer was an enthusiastic, friendly guy with a great musical ear and infinite patience, and really took care with it, almost as if it were his band, which put me right at ease. I'd definitely recommend this place if you want to be well taken care of.

I dropped my classical guitar onto a hard floor. The front came away from the sides and was split badly in three separate places. Stephen repaired the splits with glue and numerous cleats. The front was then reattached to the sides. Although the guitar still shows the signs of damage it plays and sounds just as well as it did before the accident. Well done Stephen and many thanks.
The G4 GUITAR Method has been designed, developed and tested over the last 30 years to give our students the best system to learn to play the guitar.
I derive huge satisfaction from seeing my students develop often from never having played an instrument to becoming accomplished musicians. In some cases my students have gone on to pursue careers in music professionally. Playing guitar is something that I know can bring tremendous pleasure and being able to share that with others is a great privilege.
Having spent many years as an employee with various companies I never really found the satisfaction I was looking for from my work. The idea of having the freedom to work in my own way and being my own boss was something that I wanted but didn't know how to achieve. When I discovered the G4 Franchise program I found a tailor made opportunity to develop my passion for playing guitar into a business and 2 years ago I took the plunge and became a full time G4 franchisee. I enjoy the opportunity to work for myself and to run my own business. Seeing the business grow and developing good relationships with my students is important to me. The satisfaction of seeing my students develop and flourish as musicians is tremendously rewarding. The fact that I can do all this with the benefit of the G4 Network and the huge amount of experience and support that this provides is a tremendous advantage. I can honestly say that the decision to start my own business and become a G4 Franchisee is the best decision I have ever taken.
The G4 GUITAR METHOD is based on what we have identified as the 7 Essential Skills of guitar playing. These skills include Picking, Chords, Arpeggios, Scales, Rhythm (Strumming), Reading and Aural. By developing these skills you will be able to learn your favourite songs faster. The 80/20 Principle is the idea that 80% of results come from just 20% of our efforts. The idea behind G4 GUITAR is we have narrowed down what we believe is the 20% that matters most and ensures you learn correctly in the least amount of time.
We want to put the student in control of their learning experience. Knowing how much you need to practice and what to practice gives you the clarity you need to stay focused. We achieve this via clearly defined goals and a plan to get you there. Most guitar students when asked what is the goal say “to be able to play guitar”. That is not a clearly defined goal. To play “Stairway to Heaven” is an example of a clearly defined goal. Our goals are clear and specific and our program has been used by thousands of guitar students around the world.
