Tim Daley Guitar School

SHROPSHIRE

‘20 Certificate of Excellence

Guitar lessons designed to help you be the guitarist you have always wanted to be! Tim Daley guitar school caters for all individuals from children to adults. Beginners to advanced players and beyond! We teach guitar based on what you want to learn through a progressive and structured system either online (we have taught literally 1000s of online lessons and specialise in these) or in person in a modern studio. The guitar school is different to others in that it is run by a fully qualified, degree level teacher - not just a guitarist who has decided to teach. We are a professional guitar school with literally thousands of hours teaching experience and we specialise in online lessons. Lessons take place from a modern fully equipped studio via Zoom or Skype. Lessons can follow a very structured format and lead to accreditation via the Trinity or RGT syllabus or if you wish they can follow a less formal approach and a structure can be agreed between student and teacher. Lessons can range from 20 minutes to one hour depending on your age and requirements. We have taught children as young as 6 who find 20 minutes adequate where as adults usually prefer lessons from 45-60 minutes Theory is an important part of learning guitar and all lessons are backed up with relevant theory so that you fully understand what you are doing and know how you can use your playing in a variety of musical settings. Tim Daley guitar school has the added benefit of using five tutors which gives us more depth in our experiences. For example: Jon Crowe is one of our other tutors. Jon has been playing over 40 years and has hardly taken a day off in that time. He has been teaching full time for over 12 years in schools and from his home studio. He has done thousands of gigs including playing for Keira Knightley and The Prince of Wales and Camilla! You deserve to be taught by professional, qualified teachers !

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I am a fully qualified and professional teacher. Not just a guitarist who has decided to give lessons. I understand how people learn!

I specialise in a range of styles including: rock, pop, metal and blues.

I can provide you with in depth insights into these styles and then compliment this with relevant theory.

Learn the styles of guitarists such as: Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammett and many more.

I have spent countless hours studying other guitarist's styles and approaches and then incorporating this into his own playing.

Something you could be doing too!

The guitar is a very exciting, dynamic and expressive instrument and you will learn a wide range of techniques and theory that you can apply in your own playing.

You may wish to play blazing lead solos or mellow jazzy lines or just impress your friends by knocking out a few numbers! Or you may wish to head deep into theory and learn modal approaches.

The guitar has so much to offer!

What do you love most about your job?

I am doing something that I am passionate about.

I have been a guitarist for over 30 years and during this time have had a wide variety of experiences. I have performed in a range of bands and have also recorded in a number of studios as well as playing in dramatic performances and orchestras.

What inspired you to start your own business?

A drive to do something I loved.

I am a fully qualified teacher and have taught guitar to students from the age of 6 to 65.

I teach from my studio and at a number of schools throughout Shropshire. I have a full DBS check.
