Adam is a fantastic teacher and his musical/guitar knowledge is second to none. Each lesson I've had with him has been a challenge but also achievable through his encouragement and patience. Adam also goes above and beyond following the lesson by providing fantastic material and a detailed overview along with specific improvement points to practice in your own time in preparation for the next lesson. 100% recommended to guitar learners of all abilities.

The guitar has been a bit of an obsession of mine for about thirty years now, and I've been teaching for the past twenty-five. I can teach most styles of guitar, and prefer a bit of an eclectic approach! That said, I do like getting my pupils to sit exams, and have a quarter-century of experience in doing so- although I'll never put a pupil under pressure to take formal exams.
Guitar, electric bass, double bass and composition lessons: I am a musician with a Bachelor's degree with honours in composition and am current pursuit of a Master's degree in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts from the Berlin University of Arts. As a composer and sound artist, I bring a perspective to their teaching, helping students not only master their instruments but also explore the creative possibilities of music and sound. With years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, I am helping students/musicians achieve their artistic ambitions. Whether a beginner or an advanced player, I will work with the student to create a personalised lesson plan tailored to their goals and interests. From building a strong technical foundation to developing their own unique sound.
As a private music teacher, what I love most about it is the opportunity to share my passion for music and sound with others and to help students grow and develop as musicians. It's incredibly rewarding to see a student progress from a beginner to an intermediate or advanced player and to know that I played a part in their artistic journey.
I also love the individualised nature of private lessons, which allows me to tailor my teaching to the specific needs and interests of each student. I enjoy getting to know my students and their unique musical tastes and finding ways to make lessons engaging, fun, and effective.
The freedom to create my own lesson plans set my own schedule, and provide a more individualised and effective learning experience for the students.
Starting my own business also allowed me to be more creative and innovative in my teaching methods, and to experiment with different approaches to help students learn and grow as musicians.
Experience and Expertise: With over 10 years of experience in teaching music, I have developed a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise that allows me to provide effective and engaging lessons.
Personalised Instruction: I believe in tailoring my teaching approach to each student's unique learning style, pace, and interests. I work closely with my students to understand their goals and develop a customised lesson plan that helps them achieve those goals while enjoying the learning process.
Flexibility: I am committed to making music education accessible and convenient for all of my students. I offer a range of lesson formats, including in-person lessons, online lessons, and hybrid lessons.
Positive and Supportive Environment: I believe that learning music should be a fun and positive experience. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that helps my students feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to succeed.
Yes, I do offer online and remote music lessons for those who prefer this option. I use high-quality video conferencing software that enables me to provide personalised instruction, feedback, and support to my students in real time.
To participate in online music lessons, all you need is a reliable internet connection, a computer or mobile device with a webcam and microphone, and your instrument. I will provide any necessary materials or resources, and we will work together to create a customised lesson plan that meets your needs and goals.
