My Approach
I follow a 3 step process that keeps you engaged at all times

Initial Consultation

I always start our projects off with an in-depth discussion to frame your project objectives and expectations. I will then produce a clear and concise project brief based on this. The design process starts once we are fully aligned on the project brief and you are happy to proceed.

Creating Design Concepts

My creative design process keeps you fully engaged at all times. Depending on the brief you can expect a number of design options to be produced. I will provide feedback and advise on which direction to go. Based on your feedback we will then finalise the designs.

Delivery Of Artwork

I will work with you or your chosen printers to decide exactly what format the artwork should be delivered in. I save all my work in the cloud to make transfer to you straightforward.

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

A brief /full spec is always a great starting point. I always ask if there is already a thought process in place of a creative look and feel the client may already have, it's always great to hear any clients ideas. However it's also my job to help guide and navigate clients to a clear path and achieve what they want if they are unsure or simply do not know.

HELPFUL INFORMATION FROM CLIENTS:

(I always assist with answering any questions my clients are not sure about, always happy to help.)

1. A detailed brief explaining nature of job.
2. Is a 4 colour, 2 colour or spot colour job
3. All artwork, eg: images, logos etc to be supplied in high res (300dpi) for print only. ( I always inform clients if images are low res and will not be good enough quality for print, I cannot accept responsibility if client wishes to proceed with the images supplied and print output is not sufficient quality)
4. Deliverables and deadlines, have a date for when a job is signed off and ready for print.

What do you love most about your job?

I am a creative....I have been passionate about design probably most of my life. I LOVE bringing ideas to life! Creating something that visually looks amazing and helping people achieve what their goal is an amazing feeling. The thought process behind design is intense, challenging but greatly satisfying, I am proud to have been designing the last 20 years and could never imagine doing anything else.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After a 15 year career in print design I took time out to look after my new born. When my son started school in 2016 I saw an opportunity to work around his schools hours which gave me valuable time to work on a strategy on how to re-engage with my career. Starting point was my website, www.mirellaskdesign.com. I then began introducing myself to the local business community. I met business owners looking for graphic design expertise without the agency price tag. That has been the key! I have since positioned myself as an experienced graphic designer offering high quality work at the fraction of the cost of agency fees and have since completed some amazing projects for local businesses. It has been a challenge, continues to be but also incredibly rewarding and exciting.
