We always try to deliver creativity, even if we are working within tight brand guidelines. We will research what your competitors are doing, your target market and look at your brand as it stands. We are also constantly looking at new design trends and techniques. We regularly brainstorm on a project, always trying to think laterally to deliver an impactful, memorable engaging result that will appeal to your audience. We will usually explore more than one design path and will go the extra mile to do great work, for ourselves as much as for our clients.

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

A good brief is paramount to ensure a targeted result and to keep design and artwork costs down. We will send you a briefing form so we can determine your goals and expectations from the project. We will also ask questions, to make sure we are clear on details, always thinking ahead to how we can add value. For example, making sure that any graphic style is going to work going forward on other collateral, or on any media platform.

We would also need the following:
• If you have a logo, we would need it in high resolution.
• We would need any brand guidelines you have
• Signed-off text in word or a source to copy text from (eg your website)
• Any spec needed (eg advert size, pull-up banner size)
• Any high res imagery you'd specifically like us to use
• Examples of styles you'd like us to consider

We have a subscription to a very good stock library so there is no problem if you don't have imagery.

What do you love most about your job?

We love the fact that we can create something unique every day. We start with a blank canvas and finish with something we're proud of. No two days are the same and we are constantly learning and embracing new technologies. Our job is never boring and we really enjoy being creative on a daily basis.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We worked in design agencies for years and noticed the mark-up on design fees due to overheads. It should all be about the work. With us you are still getting great designers and a great result without paying for all the frills on top. We are able to do this because we work from home. We also enjoy the flexibility and freedom that brings.
