My name is Lindsey and animals mean the world to me. I have completed studies in pet sitting, dog walking and small animal care and I am currently studying feline/canine first aid. I live in Little Lever and I am DBS checked (formerly CRB) and fully insured. Rest assured, your pets are in very safe hands. I am at my happiest in the company of animals and know how important pets are - a part of the family. Please contact me to arrange a free initial visit where I can meet your pet(s) and discuss your own particular needs and your pet(s) individual personalities. My job is to make your loved one(s) as happy as possible whilst you're away. I would also like you to be confident that your animals are in the best of hands. At the end of the day, we all have to go out, be it for work, holidays, errands, socialising, or for any other purpose. I will help your pet(s) relax and enjoy their 'me' time. Having me break up the time with a chat, a play and/or a walk or two helps the time pass happily. As part of my service, I will also leave you a little pet diary at the end of our time together so you can see what your pet(s) has been up to whilst you've been away. If desired, I will also make your house/flat look occupied in your absence. I can bring in your post (there is nothing that shouts "empty house" more than letters and papers hanging out of the letterbox), turn lights on or off, open/close curtains, water plants, put bins out/bring bins in, feed goldfish - anything to put your mind at rest. I'll even get you some milk and bread for when you get back off your holidays if you let me know in advance! A very important part of my service!

What do you love most about your job?

I get to be a part of an animal's life, and make them happy. They don't get as many days on this planet as we do, and I like to think that for that 40 mins/hour that they're in my company, they are absolutely and truly content. Not a care in the world - just happiness.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When I was 34, my mum died of a brain tumour. She'd worked three jobs her whole life and the moment she retired, she was diagnosed as terminal. I've always wanted to work with animals, but at the time I worked in an office. I had a heart to heart with my husband and said I didn't want my life to pass me by doing something I didn't love, only to leave this world the same way my mum did. He asked me what I really wanted to do and I told him work with animals. He told me to go for it. Three years on, and it's the best move I made, and it's a lesson I'll always be very grateful to my mum for.

Why should our clients choose you?

My heart is truly with animals. Being honest, I'm not a people person at all - I feel more comfortable in the company of animals. They all can feel safe and loved with me, and they all get pampered as much as each other. I treat them as I would my own. I love all the animals I look after... and all the dogs that go past my house on their daily walks and stop because they know that I'll be out with treats when I see them through the window!!
