Dan (Virtue canine services) Came to help us with our two dogs. One pulls on the lead and is reactive to small Dogs and the other has food aggression over high reward treats. Dan was brilliant. He explained the Dogs behaviours and how to read their body language. He helped loads with my convidence showing me that If i stay calm, the dog will follow suit. He showed us different collars for the pulling issue, one of which we have now ordered. I cant wait for it to come as between my calmness and the collar the walk was completely different. He was also honest about the food issue whereby Although she could be trained, given her age and how Deep the issue is, it wouldnt have done the dog any good. He also, instead of 'giving up', expanded to tell us examples of how we can prevent the behaivour by using different foods/treats and how, for our dog, prevention is better than getting rid of the problem. Dan was open and honest and explained everything and concidering he was with us for 5 hours and travelled a fair way was very well priced! (If not cheap!) I would highly recommend Dan. were on our way to Enjoying our two pooches again 😀

We took four of our dogs along - no not all at once! Two settled in quickly and were persuaded to do their stuff. Our Cavalier wanted to bark at everyone else, and our youngest- a springer - just wasn't interested. We found the trainers and other handlers were all very pleasant and exceptionally helpful. We had many happy years going along. Now you ask me - does it make any difference to the dogs when we take them on a walk? Mostly yes - since it is all down to the way the handlers do their stuff. Each dog has different experiences and associations during their lives and what causes a problem in one dog may not have caused the same problem in another. Dog owners may take their dogs to training or obedience classes but this may never fix the problem or may even make it worse as the root cause is never found.

We were having alot of problems with our Jack Tzu (Ronny 3yo) & Border Collie (Bruce 6mo). We just couldn't seem to get anything right, destructive behaviour, accidents in the home & feeling like referee between the dogs! Our first session we did basics; feeding the dogs together without a fight, knowing when the pups were playing and when Ronny had, had enough, jumping & play biting. We were absolutely astonished at the change of behaviour in both dogs. We had after session emails about what we covered, feedback and homework. We've had sessions on lead walking- no pulling, recall & also games to play with them indoors to get their minds active. I would Recommend Antony to anyone who is having puppy/dog issues or who just wants to extend their dogs/puppies training/skills and have some fun. He is absolutely fantastic at his job, enthusiastic, caring & offers great advice without judging or making you feel like you're doing everything wrong. We call him the dog whisperer to our friends!

We have an enclosed Meadow just over one acre in size and are based in Cocknage, Stoke on Trent. We offer a range of Canine enrichment activities, private field hire which is particularity good for reactive or dogs with unreliable recall, there is a selection of agility equipment and fresh water available and a seated area where you can chill and enjoy the peacefulness. We offer small group sessions or private 1:1 for all our puppy socialisation, general obedience and recall training.
