Bella Amica is 'Beautiful Friend' in Italian. And that's just how Andy feels about his dog Bella. Bella is a rescue. She was found as a stray in Ireland and thanks to the work of Dogs Trust, found her way to Andy. Together, they've been working to get Bella back on track. She had anxiety, reactivity to humans and other dogs, no formal toilet training and no tail! Whilst the tail may not get fixed, everything else can be.

We are new to dog ownership and Andy came and met us at home with our 13 week old Labrador Retriever.
I cannot praise him enough. My daughter and I were literally in awe at his natural ability to calm and get desired results.
I feel like we have the confidence to help our puppy become the happy and well behaved family pet that we know she has the potential to become.
We cannot wait to attend the group classes to learn more and knowing we have an expert to call upon to help us along this journey of puppy ownership is a real added bonus.

Here at CIP, all of our trainers are fully qualified using reward fun based, fear free and pain free training. We help you to build your bond with your dog and become a team. We offer group sessions TN12 and one to one sessions where we come to you. Starting with our CIP Puppy Know How and CIP Puppy How To group classes, subject to availability, you will have the option for further 6 week blocks in our Teens, Mixed Ages, Agility and Scentwork group classes. If you have an older dog or a rescue, don't worry, we have groups for you too. We also run workshops where we cover specific exercises, such as Recall, Walking nicely on the lead, Young Handlers Workshop for the kids (the dog owners of tomorrow) and many more. We guarantee you and your dog will have a great time as well as gaining some excellent training. We look forward to welcoming you to our CIP Family.
Watching the bond grow between dogs and their owners. Those light bulb moments never get boring!
Having had my own dogs since 1987, I've enjoyed judging and competing at Agility. My 3rd border collie was dog reactive through no fault of his own. This inspired me to learn more about canine psychology and body language so I could help Strike to live a happy, contented life. Becoming a professional, qualified trainer seemed the next logical step to help others, starting with a great foundation with puppies, to helping owners cope with their puppy's challenging adolescence, settling rescue dogs happily into their new homes. We also teach Scentwork and Agility, great for all breeds but especially the working breeds that love a job to do and using their incredibly busy brains.
We at CIP will only use positive reinforced reward based training. We set the dogs up to succeed, showing them how to do this, rather than waiting for them to make a mistake and punishing them. Balanced trainers will use reward and punishment eg shock or prong collars. Here at CIP, all of our trainers are fully qualified and we pride ourselves on our ethics of training.
Depending on our client's needs, we do offer online training but the majority of our training is in person, either in group classes or one to one sessions where we come to you.
We will rearrange appointments if one of our trainers has Covid, as we understand many families have vulnerable people who we need to keep safe.
