I am a fully qualified dog behavioural therapist with a degree in Animal Behaviour. I'm the author of the international best selling dog body language book 'Whats My Dog Thinking' and one of the experts that was on Channel 4's Puppy School series in 2019. I've trained 10,000 dogs in 10 years, I set up the Birmingham based behavioural company Pawfect Dogsense and I used to work for Dogs Trust as a training and behaviour advisor.

Highly recommend Pawfect Dogsense - we did both the private and group training sessions and I think both were invaluable. In the private sessions we were able to get tailored training for our puppy including loose lead walking, de-sensitisation and the concept of “settle” which has paid dividends as he is so good at not pulling on walks and learning he gets attention / rewarded when he is calm, which was particularly helpful as getting a puppy during lockdown restricted our ability to socialise and have people over etc until he had been with us for about 4 weeks! The group training was great for training our puppy in a stimulating environment (we have a cocker spaniel who wants to be best friends with everyone!) and getting lots of tips. Really grateful for the hard work the team put in. Training is undoubtedly one of the best investments you can make in your dog to set them up for life!

I have been a dog owner of x6 dogs over 40 years, x2 of which were strays with no history. With a problem I had with my dogs I attended an appointment with an animal behaviourist, which resolved the issue. This gave me an interest in animal behaviour and I decided that I wanted to learn more. I went to Greenwich University in 2011 and qualified with an FdSc (commendation) in Applied Behavioural Science and Welfare.

Adrian knows how a dog thinks; both our dog 'Tinkerbell' and Adrian agreed, it was the owners that needed training, not the dog. Once we got that little misunderstanding out the way it was down to business. It wasn't long before our miniature Yorkie winked at Adrian as if to say "they're starting to get it."
Two weeks later and our little Tinkerbell has come on leaps and bound, or should I say we have! Adrian packed a lot into our two hours, a little like a crash course. Now we've got there on the basics we are considering getting Adrian back for more advanced training...maybe a bit of retrieval, tracking, a few tricks, who knows?
Adrian was brilliant and I thoroughly recommend him.

At K9 to 5 we understand that pets are a part of the family, and will treat your pet like one of our own. We provide pet services ranging from walking, training and or house calls. My name is Dani, and I have been working with dogs for over a decade. I started doing basic dog training from puppy to intermediate. From there I worked at a rehabilitation centre, where working Alaskan malamutes and working collies were bred and raised.
