I only use Positive Reinforcement Training. I firmly believe that our dogs want to do all that we ask of them but generally us humans don't know how to communicate well with our dogs leading to misunderstanding, mixed signals etc. I work to improve the relationships between dogs and their humans so that everyone is happy in the relationship.

I believe walks should not only be a form of physical exercise but also an opportunity to provide freedom, companionship and enrichment with safety being paramount at all times. I have shared my life with dogs since the day I was born and grew up in a multi-dog household which I maintained in to my adult life! It was at about the age of 14 spending my spare time reading books about dogs that I sadly realised that I wouldn't live long enough to own all of the amazing breeds that appealed to me!

I have always taken my dogs to petcare & they have always done an amazing job. They always look a million dollars after their wash & cut. I've recommend them to my family & friends who now use them & they're extremely happy as well. The staff are very friendly and the prices are very competitive, I won't go anywhere else.
I have been involved with dogs from a young age as my Father trained Greyhounds and Whippets to race which were also family pets. For the last forty years I have been training sports dogs after becoming interested in German Shepherds and the sport of Schutzhund (now IGP) while living in Denmark. I have trained many of my own dogs to a high level and assisted many others in doing the same, travelling to many different clubs around the country. I qualified with one of my own dogs and represented Great Britain in the WUSV World Championships (World Union of German Shepherd Dog Clubs). I have hosted dog training seminars for the Police Force, Military and Prison as well as working in Australia training protection dogs and hosting training seminars to other dog trainers. I can help with behaviour modification, general and high level obedience and those who are wanting to venture into the IGP training, tracking, or bitework/protection.
The challenge of adapting my knowledge and techniques to the individual dog and issue in question and seeing the relationship improve between dog and owner.
To provide honest real training with results. There are many dog trainers in business who do not have the knowledge and experience to advise on many of the cases that come to them. I am often told by clients that they have been to many trainers before and paid ludicrous amounts of money for the problem not to be rectified. They have been recommended to medicate their pets, rehome them or even have them put to sleep. I don't believe any dog is untrainable and haven't met one yet whose issues i haven't been able to resolve.
I offer honest training, delivered in a straightforward manner with no jargon. Clients can normally expect to start seeing results after the first session.
No, i don't feel you can assist with a dog if you haven't witnessed it displaying the behaviour in question.
I follow the advice issued by PIF (Pet Industry Federation) inline with Defra guidance.
