I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gemma for six months now and I honestly value our time together so highly! Gemma creates a safe environment where you feel listened to, valued, and supported. She helps you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, so that you can make sense of them, heal from them, and grow from them. There is never any pressure or expectations within sessions as you’re given the space and time to let things flow freely. Gemma is also very good at providing further materials in order to give you the out of session encouragement and tools you need to keep making progress, and she will always go the extra mile to support you. When I started sessions with Gemma, it was the first time I had ever engaged with any sort of therapy, but I’m so glad that I took the step to reach out and start this journey. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for that little bit of support, guidance, or just a safe space.

Andrea you have helped me so much. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first as if previously had CBT therapy and I didn’t ‘click’ with it. I was so desperate to get better though I knew I needed to do this and speak to you. Thank you for everything! I’d been on the waiting list for stage 3 CBT therapy for 7 months and I was getting to a desperate stage. I wanted to get better but the doctors weren’t helping. I posted a question about writing a journal on a post natal depression support Facebook group and Andrea commented on it saying she’s a councillor offering help and it all went from there. From the first video call I knew Andrea was a person I could talk to. She has a very friendly approach and you don’t need to say/ do anything that you don’t want to discuss. Over the weeks we developed more of a friendship than a councillor/ patient relationship. I felt completely comfortable speaking about everything and anything with Andrea. She would set me tasks to do for ‘homework’, all achievable but on different levels depending on how much I pushed myself. Writing a journal throughout the process helped massively and Andrea has taught me how to rationalise things. I eventually got a referral through for the CBT therapy and the therapist was impressed at what I’d learnt with Andrea, he told me that the work I’d done on the video calls has made a big impact on my views on everything. A definite plus side to speaking to Andrea was that it was a video call at 8pm after I’d put my daughter to bed. It meant I could fit it around my plans without needing to find a baby sitter. That was one of the biggest struggles I had with the face to face CBT therapy as none of my family knew about this whole situation and I couldn’t take my Daughter with me to sessions. I’d definitely recommend Andrea as a councillor and if I ever needed help again I know I could message her for a chat.
