I am Sally Kleyn, co-director of The Company Coach Ltd. and for over 25 years I have been helping individuals and teams to grow and develop. Clients come to me because they want to fulfil their potential, become more comfortable in their own skin, break free of old patterns and barriers, be able to handle difficult situations or operate as natural and authentic leaders. I am academically qualified to Masters Degree level in Counselling and in Change Strategies and have a vast tool kit of approaches and methods that will help you to understand your current reactions, unlock new ways of looking at things, re-wire your emotional responses, think about the physical and the psychological and develop positive and active behaviours to put things right for the long term. Although still active in the corporate world, I am now developing my private coaching/counselling practice, offering telephone and online sessions to individuals.
I love seeing people transform their thinking, emotions and behaviour to get where they want to be. Change is not easy and I relish the challenge of supporting clients through the natural ups and downs of the change process. Each person is different and it is exciting and challenging to find the key that opens the door to self-discovery and change for each individual. We are learning so much about how the brain operates and this is filtering through to practitioners, offering new methods and new opportunities for coaches and counsellors like myself.
I started my business 28 years ago because I wanted to bring my business experience, understanding of group dynamics and psychological counselling knowledge together. Management/Leadership training and coaching seemed like the perfect platform because people in the corporate world were struggling with issues of stress, poor communication, organisational politics, dysfunctional team working, discrimination and poor work-life balance. There was a stigma about seeking help from a professional counsellor and therefore people were often suffering in silence. By bringing a practical, yet theoretically sound approach into the corporate environment, I could reach a wider range of people and help them to change trajectory and achieve greater fulfilment in their professional and personal lives. However, I recognise that people often want to work with a private coach/counsellor so that they can explore a wider range of personal as well as professional issues. Using the telephone and internet, clients can now access my services at the times that are most convenient for them.
Clients tell me that I bring the right balance of challenge and support for change to occur. I'm especially proud of the following quotes from two of my recent clients: 1) "Sally brings a rich medley of methods and practices that she skilfully weaves into a programme that meets participants where they are and invites them to extend and grow." 2) "I found Sally to be a coach whose quality of attention enticed me to explore my purposes and practice, and go places I hadn't anticipated but found extremely rewarding. She has that rare skill of being able to challenge without you ever feeling judged."
