I am also a qualified hypnotherapist. I offer a safe warm confidential environment working mainly from my home though work in Reading on Sundays. I can offer reductions for students and those under 25 or 65 who are self funding.

Hi my name is David and I’m a Psychologist and counsellor - I feel privileged to have worked for the NHS (full time) for twenty years and more than eight years in private practice. During that time I have provided psychological support for hundreds of clients around issues relating to sex and relationships. I believe rather than help clients to solve their problems, it is far more important to help clients identify and fix the actual CAUSE of their problems, so that they can prevent more of the same problems from coming back in the future.

I have helped numerous clients transform their lives. I have supported individuals to overcome complex trauma patterns, which often presents as anxiety, depression, over thinking, intrusive thoughts. I also have expertise in domestic abuse, narcissistic abuse, workplace bullying, substance misuse, relational difficulties (including parenting difficulties). I'm an integrative counsellor, which means that I am trained in a number of different theories and practices and I use these interchangeably to provide a client focused practice. Due to Covid-19, I currently provide video call sessions using a system called VSee which has end to end encryption to ensure confidentiality. When not in lockdown, I work with clients in a purpose-built office which is designed to be a calm space where clients feel safe enough to share their experiences.
