Clients come to me because they want help with handling anxiety, to recover from depression, to process trauma and loss or to find a sense of direction in life. I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, working online, by phone and in person (socially distanced). I also offer focusing oriented therapy and focusing training, and there is more information about this on my website.

I provide a safe space for us to work together virtually via Zoom, helping you to achieve your goals and make huge positive shifts in how you think and feel. I am a qualified Counsellor and chose to qualify as a Hypnotherapist after my own struggles with P.T.S.D that led to my relationship with food spiraling out of control. Mental health struggles are intense and for many those feelings and emotions are isolating.

Claire took a different approach or mind-set to my problem of hands shaking when eating or drinking. For years I suffered from childhood trauma during meals (eaten in complete silence) and if we finished our meals we were pigs and if we left any we were called ungrateful (well not "called" but screamed at). When we were forced to pour our father a glass of wine, a drop touching the label meant being screamed at for ruining the label. There was other completely random slapping - the list is too long. I am not a believer in hypnosis or perhaps I should say I wasn't but it was an emotional experience. Claire had me view my younger self and asked me what I would say to my younger self from a third person aspect. So yes I think I was hypnotised but completely aware. My first realisation that something had shifted was going for a meal. The trauma had been so great I would need a pint as a calmer - not the best I admit and pass the car keys over. I'm not actually a great fan of being driven but I do like treating the better half to a meal out. Off we drive and I ordered without thinking a pint of Pepsi. Full to the brim, drank it without shaking and it was only after my better half said "That was fantastic". I'm thinking "What ?". "Did you enjoy your Pepsi ?" "Yes, why ?"... and then it dawned on me. Please deal with Claire rather than a DIY approach. Not cheap but worth it.
