Danielle La Roche - Counsellor & Life Coach

Nottinghamshire

I'm a counsellor based in Sandiacre, Nottingham and I offer one-to-one sessions to people who want support in areas of their life where they are struggling or feel stuck. I have over 10 years experience, working with clients on a range of issues including (but not confined to) anxiety, stress, anger management, relationship issues, bereavement, depression, low self esteem. I understand that booking (& attending) a first counselling session can be daunting; so I make it a priority to offer clients a safe space, where they can talk freely without fear of being judged. I offer morning, afternoon and evening sessions. If you would like to arrange an appointment or have a chat with me to assess whether I could be the right counsellor for you, please feel free to contact me via phone, text or email. I endeavour to respond to enquiries within 24 hours. All the best Danielle

What do you love most about your job?

Meeting clients and really getting to understand what's going on for them.

So many people talk about "feeling stuck" when they come to counselling; as though they will never learn to manage their stress, anxiety, relationship issues (or whatever has brought them). One of the favourite elements of my job is observing clients progress and their relief/happiness when they become aware they're no longer stuck.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have worked for a number of organisations, including an addictions centre, an FE college and a bereavement service. Whilst I enjoyed working within all of these counselling roles, I wanted to expand the range of clients I worked with. Therfore, I decided to set up my own business.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have many years experience working with clients and I firmly believe counselling can make a real difference in peoples' lives.

I'm approachable, kind & empathic; which is highlighted by the fact clients often report feeling at ease by the end of our first session, despite strong feelings of anxiety/nerves before the session.

I'm also a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). Plus I attend regular clinical supervision and training events.
