The practice was created with busy lives in mind, with plenty of evening and weekend availability. I operate on the understanding that each client is unique, and that different things are likely to help different people at different points in time. Therefore, as a therapist I draw on techniques from a range of orientations (psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT) and integrate a wide variety of methods into my practice.

I was referred by my GP and I have 1 to 1 sessions with Lilla on Zoom. Lilla is amazing, she goes above and beyond and I would not be where I am now with my mental health if it wasn't for her, and I definitely am in a better place. She is very professional and I cannot recommend her enough, she gives amazing advice, is flexible on times and days. Doing the sessions online is so much more convenient for me, especially having kids. I can do my session from home and not have to worry about getting childcare or spend all my time getting to a location. And as you can see the counselors on the video call, it's like being face to face as well. Out of every councillor I have ever seen, this has been the best for me and it really has worked. Thank you for all you have done and carry on doing!

The way I work - Brief and long term counselling using the integrated therapeutic approaches detailed below: Person Centred - I like to call this term client focussed I listen to’ you’ and what is important for ‘you’ enabling a 'safe' place for you to talk and share your concerns. By using the core conditions - empathy (almost looking through your eyes), congruence (honesty) and unconditional positive regard (non-judgmental) this enables you to feel heard and listened to, at a depth of exploring your journey, and gaining an awareness which then enables you to take which path you need too. This will be done at a pace that is right for you. I offer support to clients, allowing a better understanding of living with ‘their ‘DYSLEXIA and ways to manage and improve confidence. This helps to enable a better way of being, allowing a more proactive interaction with self and others Brief Therapy - Motivational Interviewing I am here to listen to you, even if you are lacking in motivation. I offer a space to understand the ambivalence around your problem that may limit your motivation. I will aspire to create an awareness, and empower your motivation, By communicating together this will enable you to find a solution. Dreams I work with your unconscious mind, which plays out situations and events, whilst sleeping. Exploring your dreams , which are messages about you and your life situations, we can work with what is happening in your conscious (awake) mind and discover these messages together. CBT - (I use CBT with a Client Centred Approach) This approach allows you to gain an insight to your values and core beliefs, as these impact on your thinking patterns, which may lead to negative thought patterns. Using this approach it can provide different strategies for you to use in difficult times, which will help you get through, and move forwards with a positive perception. Visualisation Working with this approach can enable you to deal with and cope with different parts within you. For example, the inner frightened child part of you may need to feel more support from your inner confident part of you. You create your own visualisation, with support to enable you to gain this awareness. This is not hypnosis. Creative play This is a process which allows you to use different art/craft/toys/button/ornaments and other materials to put a visual 'picture' to how you are feeling. Subconsciously your emotions, thoughts and behaviours can become clearer through engaging and exploring what is causing you upset, anger, frustration, sadness.......... Solution Focus Using this approach deals with your concerns in the 'present' time and aiming to gain a solution. NLP- Neurology Linguistic Programming NLP explores your relationships between how you think (Neuro), to the way you communicate (linguistic), followed by your pattern of behaviours and emotions (Programming). This is a powerful change management tool that can help change the way you think and act, improving your personal or professional life. The impact is more successful by dealing with situations in more positive and motivational ways. EMDR - (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) This therapy is for working with PTSD clients, it is also been shown to be effective with clients having difficulty with emotional issues such as having a fear of visiting the dentist to feeling not good enough, having self doubt in a group situation. How it works is replacing negative feelings that are carried in the body that can affect the different senses. This can create a different perception or bodily feeling to allow a person to have more of a positive outcome on things that may have bothered someone for a long time or even a sort brief time.
When clients come to see me with their problems and upsetting emotions they may be anxious, stressed or depressed....... I feel the process and transformation when they complete therapy is so rewarding to see because they achieve their outcome, leaving with happier emotions which may be contentment a sense of feeling lighter in themselves and have learnt to look at situations with a different perception enabling a better wellbeing. This to me is the rewarding part of my job, to see and hear the clients are looking forward with a sense of awareness and ability of confidence to the next steps in their life.
My inspiration comes from my own experiences in my life and dealing with others with their difficulties, feeling stuck in their problem. I have a strong quality within me that I embrace called determination! I have attended all the relevant training to sit within my vision of my own business and offer people the time and a non-judgmental place they need to express, explore and experience what is right for them and empowering individuals to get themselves back on their right path of their life.
I am able to offer an understanding and work with you to gain your own solution to a way forward that will give you the support which will allow you to share issues that are important to you. This is done in a confidential and safe environment with you being listened too empathically, and sensitively, to any issues or concerns which you feel are affecting you in your life. These may be issues from your past, present or the worry of the future, which may be causing you distress low moods, depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, relationship difficulties, or if you feel lost in chaos and you just simply can’t cope.
