Hi, I'm a UKCP registered psychotherapist in training. I'm studying for an MA at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I offer low cost face to face psychotherapy for people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and other psychological challenges. I have a life long love of nature, I believe people are part of nature and have a propensity towards growth. My passion is to work alongside people to help them overcome the obstacles that inhibit their potential.

Let me begin by telling you a story … Back in 1993, a lady was put into a situation where she feared for her personal safety. She was actually very safe, in the house where she lived - but a situation led to her feeling very unsafe. This feeling took the lady to a place that ultimately opened up a huge can of worms …. and subsequently into therapy. The first therapist she saw was unhelpful in her approach and so the lady decided, she didn't need therapy.

I provide counselling to both individuals and couples for a variety of issues. I believe that that the timing is as important as the therapy itself. When we reach the decision to seek counselling it is then that we are ready to really engage. I will make every effort to see all new clients within 3 working days of initial contact. I offer a FREE, no obligation interview/chat of about 15 minutes, which can be a phone call. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions and decide whether you would like to work with me and I can explain how I work. Each session is £40 for individuals and £50 for couples.
Being with clients on their journey of self discovery and watching them reconnect with who they want to be.
I don't consider being a counsellor just a job, I consider it an honour and a privilege.
Having started up a successful counselling charity, providing good professional counselling training and supporting counselling students. I became very frustrated at the lack of professional development and increasingly long waiting list. I believe passionately that counselling works best when the client is ready to engage which is something I am able to do as an independent therapist. I also believe that if the timing is right the amount of therapy required can be significantly reduced.
Counselling depends so much on the therapeutic relationship. To ensure that I am the right therapist for the client I offer a free consultation for clients to consider whether they are happy to work with me.
Yes once the client has made contact by email or telephone, I will then arrange the sessions via Skype or Zoom, or telephone if the client prefers.
At the moment I am only working remotely. My practice has been adapted for social distancing and sanitising but I prefer to work remotely until the virus is under control.
