Bianca is a truly amazing, caring, understanding person. Whilst studying for my university degree i lost my mother to cancer and my father had psychotic depression, i experienced a complete loss of identity, low self esteem, anxiety and depression. In my sessions with bianca, i talked about everything i was struggling with from friendships, relationships, my struggle with grief and just dealing with life in general. She listened to everything i had to say, and helped me to get to the root of what i was dealing with and numerous ways to help over come it. She helped me to change how i saw myself and others, how to deal with things i was facing and regain my confidence in ways i had never had it before. I could honestly talk to Bianca about anything and she never made me feel like what i was worried about was insignificant, she would help me with whatever i was facing. I have gone to counselling and therapy in the past, but life coaching with Bianca is the only thing that has truly helped me to get back on my feet and feel happy in myself again, it never felt forced or awkward, it was like talking to a friend.I would recommend Bianca to anyone whatever they are going through.

As a person centred based integrative counsellor I believe the work of counselling happens in the relationship between us. That it is important that the counselling relationship feels safe, connected and genuine. We all find ourselves at times in our life when we feel overwhelmed, when life feels difficult, that what we thought we knew is breaking down or falling appart and we are not sure what to do or where to turn.

Choosing a therapist can be a daunting prospect but I can offer you a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment to explore the issues that you bring. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist drawing on the models of Gestalt, DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Mindfulness. This enables a holistic approach to each individual client so that we can explore your personal struggles in a supportive, encouraging way.

At Centred Counselling we love being able to support people to live the lives they want. Whether it is helping someone understand their own thoughts and feelings, to make decisions, to process unspoken or unfelt emotions, to feel less lonely and more confident. For us it is about using our skills and training to help people to improve their lives, to enable others to reach their goals and get the most out of life.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I have always been passionate about working in private practice and this is because of the value that I place on individuality and creativity. I genuinely believe that people will move towards what feels best for them and that often the biggest gift you can offer a person is your undivided attention, to listen and genuinely understand what another person is experiencing, to lighten the burden they are carrying by simply being with that person.
This type of therapeutic counselling becomes reparative, it heals and it strengthens, it holds a person safely as they struggle to keep their heads above the sinking sand, as they experience their most exhausting trials, and it reminds them they are not totally alone. After all, how much easier can things be when you have someone to talk to, someone who you can be completely open and honest with, that also wants things to be better for you, but doesn’t presume to know what that is or make that choice for you.
This is what private practice allows me to do, to work at the pace and in a way, which feels right for the individual I am working with. It can take time to develop a safe enough relationship that will enable someone to speak aloud something that’s been hidden for a long time, but the change that it can make to someone’s life going forward is immeasurable.
Though the Counselling I offer can be described as ‘Talking Therapy’ what I have learnt over the years is that actually writing, art, music, videos, sandplay can all play a significant part in the process. Sometimes words can’t be found but an image might explain, or emotions can’t be named but a song can convey, all of these things fill our lives to different degrees and therefor can be used to help with understanding and communication.
Why Centred Counselling? In a nutshell there are several other opportunities that I'm looking to explore to expand the services that I can provide and having a brand name will become increasingly important to those activities. A big emphasis of the new website design is to provide clear concise information to make it easy and transparent to anyone looking for counselling. Please check out the new website by clicking on the link below and feel free to leave feedback.
I think if the profile resonates and makes sense to you, then already we have something in common and a starting point we can work from. It's really important that you choose a counsellor that you feel you can work with and it's ok to change your mind after meeting them if it doesn't feel right in person. So have a read through the profiles, research on the internet peoples websites, make sure they are a member of the BACP or NCS (Safety reasons) and trust your gut instinct. If that happens to be Centred Counselling I look forward to meeting with you, if its other providers, I wish you well in your future.
