Hello, I'm James. For the past 18 years, I have used talking therapies to support those suffering from depression, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), experiences of abuse, anxiety, acute stress, bereavement, and relationship concerns. I have delivered counselling to the armed forces community in hospitals and domestic settings, for the NHS Primary Care Services in North Wales to patients referred by mental health teams and the GP, and in private practice both face-to-face and remotely.

I was going through a particularly difficult patch, emotionally recently and deicided to ask for help. I found Karen to be a great listener and gave me time to offload everything. She equipped me with some stratefies to help me move forward. I can honestly say, that within a day or two, I felt like a new person. I will be forever endebted to Karen for her advice and time. Thank you.
No long waiting lists, appointment times to suit your schedule, easy online booking, 60 or 90 minute sessions, in-person, Zoom, phone or email, payment options. Counselling, EFT and Hypnotherapy, as well as long-term Psychotherapy available, to suit your needs.
I find people fascinating and I'm pretty good at what I do, so I really enjoy my work, and seeing how people benefit from coming to see me is incredibly rewarding!
I wanted to offer clients a flexible and responsive alternative to sitting on a long waiting list for counselling, so that they can access the help they need when they need it.
Also, I always wanted to be my own boss and have the freedom and flexibility to do things the way I want to do them. For example, I offer 90 minute sessions, as well as the usual "counselling hour".
I'm able to respond to my clients needs and preferences, not only when it comes to offering different approaches, but also the timing and frequency of sessions. People sometimes have varied schedules and can't always come at the same time each week, for example, or they might want to come twice a week, or fortnightly, or whatever. I have the flexibility to arrange my diary to suit my own and my clients' needs and schedules, allowing for other commitments.
Yes, I offer online sessions, over Zoom or WhatsApp, telephone sessions, too, and even Email Counselling, for clients who prefer to write about what's bothering them, or who maybe don't have the time to commit to sessions.
I'm doing more work online now, but I'm also continuing with in-person sessions, with procedures in place to ensure client safety and protection from Covid-19.
