After having therapy over the years on and off and being disappointed with the results I found with previous therapists. I found Carol online and immediately felt comfortable and connected with a therapist that understood me. My life has changed dramatically since starting therapy and I Feel so much more self aware and in control. Carol has supported me and given me the confidence to make better decisions, have more boundaries, reflect on situations and realise things I wasn’t even aware of. I look back at my life and certain events and wonder if I hadn’t met Carol then I would still be recreating the same old patterns and dynamics. I consider myself to be quite a spiritual person and I’ve found it hard to find a therapist who understands that way of thinking, so I really feel that working with Carol in a spiritual way has made me feel heard and pushed me forward on my healing journey. Carol has taught me how to access my feelings and triggers, not only mentally but on a physical level as well. Working on the physical sensations that cause me discomfort has really helped me notice when I’m being triggered into a certain state again and taught me to connect and be mindful when certain memories come up. This type of therapy has been so beneficial for me as I havn’t met another therapist who works like this. The knowledge she has given me has made me a stronger person and also encouraged me to not give up.

I am passionate in helping individuals and couples to take the right steps for them. I support my clients, to make a difference or find an acceptance in their life. I work with my clients in exploring the difficulties they are experiencing and we work to gain an understanding of thoughts and feelings. Their emotional disturbance can be discussed and put in to perspective to help make changes to the unhealthy thought or behavioural patterns.

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!! This is the moto I live my life by and feel extremely passionate about. Do you feel constantly judged by your size, shape, hair, skin colour, birthmark, scars or something else? Do you feel your life is controlled by your appearance? Do you feel like you don't fit in? Do you battle with feeling its ok to be you only to be deflated by the negative expectations of society?

Recently attended MHFA Training, and was blown over by Katie who is an excellent instructor, who's relaxed style made it easier to ask questions, learn and speak up during thecourse. A very approachable and encouraging individual and has a vast knowledge and understating of what mentalhealth first aid entails. The course was very informative and I like how it was presented also encouraged by Katie (if we felt comfortable) to discuss personal experience, which as a group we did from the start. Really great course that will hopefully help support more people and break the stigma surrounding mental health problems going forward.

Relationship difficulties? Feeling stuck, anxious, depressed or lonely? Challenges with work or study? Overthinking everything or perhaps you have issues around food and eating? I can help! Positive changes in your life can take place even when those challenges seem overwhelming, distressing and confusing. I offer psychotherapy and nutrition support for individuals and I also work regularly with straight and same-sex couples. I am a full-time therapist and you can see me in Central Manchester or in Wilmslow. I work daytime hours only at present. I also offer walking therapy which is a great alternative to my office-based sessions. Individuals: I offer short and long term therapy and whatever you bring, you are very welcome. Let's get talking. Couples: Want a better connection and ways of communicating with your partner? Let's work together. Disordered Eating: If you have issues around food and eating come and see me, as a qualified nutritionist as well as a therapist I can help. I think therapy is for people who have the self-awareness to recognise that they need a helping hand and any issue that you would like to bring to therapy is welcome. Our first session is an opportunity to discuss your goals for therapy and for you to see if I'm the right therapist for you. All you need to do is contact me and we can arrange an appointment.
I love so many things about my job. You are the expert of your experience and it's a real privilege for me to be there to facilitate you making the changes you seek for your own well-being. Getting to know someone, seeing them change and observing life opening up to them is a wonderful experience and I look forward to seeing my clients each week.
Inspiration to start my own business grew within my career in education and health. Being in private practice means that I have the opportunity to work with all sorts of clients both individuals and couples, from all sorts of backgrounds. This vocation is all about flexibility, learning and growing and I work within the boundaries of the BACP Ethical Framework. I get to work with wonderful clients, collaborate with other psychotherapists, learn from different supervisors and attend training events of my choice to improve my skills as a practitioner.
Why not come and meet me for an initial session to see if you would like to work with me. There's no obligation to continue after that first session if you do not wish to. I have a practice in Central Manchester and in Wilmslow, both are easy to get to by car or public transport.
