How long have you been in business?

Easy Clean Were established in 2012 after finishing my degree in social work at Teesside University. I started the business myself and we have continued to grow every year. 90% of our customers come to us through recommendations and i am proud to say five years on we still clean for my first ever customer.

Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?

We provide everything needed to clean your home. we use colour coded cloths for different areas of your home and our girls have a supply of products to do the best possible job which includes anti bacterial kitchen cleaner, anti bacterial bathroom cleaner, lime scale remover for those stubborn water marks on taps and shower doors, wood floor cleaner, regular floor cleaner, glass cleaner and furniture polish.

What do you love most about your job?

I really love making a difference in peoples everyday lives. as a busy mum myself who attended university and worked. I soon began to struggle to keep my home as clean as I wanted it. Most households now have both parents working and having that extra bit of help around the house can make a really big difference. it gives you some time back for your family and I love it when people say I wish I had got you in my house sooner its made things so much easier.

What inspired you to start your own business?

5 years ago I was attending university to gain a degree in Social work and working in a children's home. My weekends were taken up writing assignments and i was struggling to keep on top of my household jobs. Sure we all run round with a duster, wash dishes and hoover but it was the bigger jobs like cleaning inside windows, washing my paintwork, pulling beds and sofas out, giving the bathroom a good clean that i was struggling to find the time for. That was when I realised that having some extra help around the house was no longer a luxury but a necessity if i wanted to keep my sanity. A change in family circumstances was the catalyst for me and as soon as i finished my degree i started up Easy Clean.

Clients should choose Easy Clean because we genuinely care about our customers. Every customer receives a notebook which the staff fill in weekly listing the rotated jobs that are carried out that week. for example Mon 12th May living room sofas were pulled out, downstairs windows cleaned. So customers know that as well as all the usual jobs such as bathroom, kitchen, polishing, floors cleaned etc the bigger jobs are being rotated regularly. we also like customers to leave comments or notes in the book because as I tell our customers they are in the home every day whereby our girls are there for an hour so if there is something in particular you would like doing that week please feel free to make a note of it in the record book. On top of that we also carry out regular quality checks to ensure customers receive the very best service.
