Past events we have catered for include a vintage afternoon tea for 70 people at the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens: A hotel opening on behalf of a national hotel chain and canapés for the opening of a new local business as well as christenings and weddings.

This is the second time I have Used Serendipity for outside catering and again it was amazing. Thick sandwich fillings, amazing hot roasties and some of the best cakes I have ever eaten! Went here tonight for the opening. It's got it all. Great food, staff professional and enthusiastic. Decor is lovely and pictures brilliantly reflect Sunderland. Haven't been in a bar in Sunderland for many years but I'd make an exception for this place. Outdoor seating too which is a big bonus in the town centre.���

The food is as expected from a country pub- but it's convenient location makes it a great place to grab a bite to eat after exploring nearby areas such as Penshaw Monument. I definitely rate this place highly for desserts though. Come in for a pint, or some cake!
