Had mechanical work done on my golf, was very informative, service was excellent and done the job quicker than I expected.

I came to Jinsei this past summer with a fairly large job: fixing up a 1990 Mazda MX-5 that had been sitting in a damp garage for nine years without being driven. They proved more than capable for the job, and have taken the car from an undriveable condition to passing its MOT and being completely road-legal. Some of the things they’ve done include: replacing the battery, replacing oil and air filters, replacing a broken suspension spring, replacing rotted pipes, replacing brake pads, replacing the exhaust, popping out a large dent in the passenger door, and doing a full service. They also arranged for the car to be taken in to a tire center to get four new tires put on. In 2019 I intend to return to them for a new roof and some bodywork (rust removal, removal of scratches). Jinsei’s rates are reasonable and their work is unquestionably good. Almost as important (for a young single woman who knows little about cars), I consider them utterly trustworthy and have no doubts whatsoever that they would never try to upsell services I don’t need (something that has happened before with other mechanics). I recommend Jinsei Mods Garage with no reservations whatsoever.

Very helpful team. Got all the required technical advise I wanted which is very important before buying a car. Even if they don't have one in stock at moment according to my fussy requirements, they are still helping me to get one through their contacts. Not everyone does that. Can recommend all day long.

A couple of months ago I approached Jay to see if he could fix the windscreen fan on my wife’s car. The fan has not worked properly for over two years; there being no noticeable change when the very top speed was engaged. This was quite dangerous as it led to constant misting up of the windscreen during winter. What was strange was that the top speed did work occasionally but only when the air was on recirculate, not much use to demist the windscreen. I had the car examined by a couple of garages previously and they both said it was the rheostat (whatever that is) but that they couldn’t help and that I had to go to a main dealer to get it fixed (and be ripped off). Jay listened carefully to my story, took one look and said leave it with me. A couple of days later it was fixed with an extremely reasonable bill. I would simply like to say thank you for fixing something others couldn’t. I have complete confidence that Jay clearly does know his stuff and that I can recommend him with confidence. I will continue to use Jay to look after both my vehicles.
