My specific area of expertise is aerospace & defence suppliers within the engineering/ manufacturing/ production sectors. A lot of these skills I have attributed over my professional career can be transferable to other industries, and can actually increase competitiveness of businesses in other sectors due to it being a different way of thinking in regards to its competitors. I have a passion for seeing businesses achieve their maximum potential and to push boundaries when implementing systems to enhance business improvements and quality of product or service.
I was interested in consulting from my university days. What attracted me the most is that every opportunity is a new challenge with varying degrees of difficulty. This definitely gets me out of bed instead of being at a desk five days a week. Every time I started a new project there was a buzz around getting off on the right foot, i.e getting the right team members on the team, meeting the client, and getting deep into the project.
Throughout my professional career, I have been a part-time business consultant. I almost found it to be a hobby. I couldn't initially walk out of my full-time employment to pursue my business. This was due to risks associated with finding new clients and networking. I gradually, over a 3 year period, built up a client base to financially secure myself on my first year out. This enabled me to focus heavily on marketing and targeting local businesses in need of my service.
We have a vast amount of experience from management system implementation, continual improvement, business/ strategic planning and marketing.
