Online Clinical Supervision - £40 for 1hr, £55 for 1.5hrs. I have been Counselling for many years and have helped clients with a variety of issues, such as being a Carer, bereavement, loss, anxiety, depression, breakdowns, domestic abuse, relationship issues, work-related stress, ptsd, self-harming, bullying and suicidal thoughts. I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and qualified Dementia Specialist. I am trained in Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamics. I specialise in Relationship and Family Counselling, Dementia and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, work-related stress and breakdowns. I also have vast experience of bereavement counselling. I have many years experience of working (9+) with Carers/family members who care for their loved ones who are living with Dementia. When caring for a loved one, our own emotions and feelings can sometimes be forgotten. However, by having the opportunity to offload it may help to come to terms with the loss of the person they were before Dementia. In addition I have counselled Carers who are looking after family members who are on the autistic spectrum. I also have vast experience of working with clients suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks and work-related stress. By offering open-ended Counselling sessions, this has aided my clients to build themselves up from needing a length of time off work, to continue their working life or create a new work and life journey. Testimonials - “Cara is astute and has a good insight. Counselling has helped me to think with greater clarity as what feels like huge issues are brought down into context when discussed and shared. I think Cara is a gem. It is rare to find such a great standard in Counselling”, Client A "I was fortunate to find Cara through the Counselling Directory. Throughout my sessions she has been professional, non judgemental and of immense help to me. She has got me thinking and enabled me to reach my own conclusions. I would have no hesitation returning to her or recommending her to others", Client B "Without your guidance I don't know where I would have been! You have helped & guided me with your empathy, warmth & patience more than you will ever know! So I want to thank you very much", Client C "I have been having counselling for a while now and feel really comfortable with Cara. She is calm and listens without judgement. It has helped me a lot with my grief and depression. I can freely get all my emotions off of my chest", Client D "I was in a dark tunnel when I first met with Cara. She's very easy to open up to and after several sessions she gave me some great coping mechanisms. At the end of each session we would always discuss what we'd talked about, which was good. I would fully recommend her as someone you can really open up to. I'd definitely go back", Client E "I have recently completed successful counselling, lasting a number of months, covering a wide aspect of my life. Cara is a very well trained professional who managed my circumstances well, offered the needed support when appropriate. I would have no hesitation in recommending her", Client F "Cara has really helped me understand and uncover my feelings about my situation and relationships, as well as helped me feel much better about myself. Her insight and intuition in reflecting my inner thoughts that she heard while I talked, was extremely helpful.
