How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Within reason all garages can be converted. Some simply require more work.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Remove garage door, dig and pour new footing across original opening.
Usually an insulated cavity wall is built up and a 1850x950 window installed.
Create internal doorway (if required)
Damp proofing and insulating of the remaining walls, floor and ceiling.
First fix electrics (plumbing if required)
Dry lining (taking any fire regs requirements into account) and plastering.
Second fix carpentry and electrics (plumbing if required).
Sign off and handover
