I am a psychology undergraduate. I attended Steve’s talk last night at the Louis Marchesi about “the dark side of a serial killer”. It was absolutely fascinating from start to finish. The amount of information provided by Steve in the 2 hours we were there was impressive. His delivery was so engaging and he was entertaining in an appropriate way for the topic. Left feeling really inspired and I will certainly be attending more of Steve’s events in the future. What do you love most about your job?
I have had the best career possible; joining the Metropolitan Police Service aged 18 years; and to my surprise came top of the class. Initially, I policed the Kings Road area during the punk era. I met Johnnie Lyndon aka Johnnie Rotten. I quickly became a detective and rose to the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. I retired at age 43 and have worked in different consultancy roles. Since this time, I have been in business and offer innovative methods for self-improvement whether that be motivation, resilience, fortitude, leadership, or the psychology behind sales
What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2008 I started what was then a small business offering crime experiences. That has developed over the years to two substantial companies. Huxley Events offers all forms of event management; including company parties, conferences, motivational speaking, and team building. The Crime Lab offers crime consultancy and crime experiences. The Experiences can either be academic learning or informative inputs on serial murder (Steve has investigated two) or Psychopaths in business for example

By either practical example or experience, I love motivating, encouraging, inspiring others, and examining the qualities of total leadership.
