After 26 years of first picking up a violin, I finally took the plunge and booked myself a lesson. I was lucky to have found Sarah as she was local to me.

As an adult learner I was nervous and frequently questioned whether I should be learning such a difficult instrument so late in life. However, after meeting Sarah and having a few classes with her I completely changed my ‘tune’. Sarah was really encouraging and let me learn at my own pace. She also understood how I learnt and tailored the classes to ensure I got the best out of the time with her. I only had 4 face to face classes before we went into lockdown with Covid-19. But Sarah was very accommodating and we continued to have weekly lessons online. This was a god-send as it helped me continue to improve my skills and helped me cope with what was going on. She helped me work through my grade 2 exam which I passed. I couldn’t have done it without her.
Sarah has introduced me to a whole genre of music which I would not have discovered on my own. She has certainly increased my repertoire. By doing this, I have enhanced my technical skills with my violin playing which I feel I wouldn’t have done if I had found another tutor.

I take online classes, these are a lot better than previous ones I’ve taken and I’ve advanced quicker than what i thought I would. Sarah is an awesome teacher!

Sarah has been a fantastic tutor for the past year since I have been taking violin lessons. We smoothly transitioned to online lessons during the first covid-19 lockdown and it's been totally fantastic! She can send music to me straight away. She often sends me sections of music which I am struggling with so I have it on my computer and I can refer to it as many times as I want. The online classes save me time on travelling and I can have my lesson at the comfort of my own home!! I don't think I will be going back to face to face classes because this works so well for my lifestyle. Sarah is an excellent tutor and has helped me pass my exam during the pandemic. My son (8 years old) and I have been taking regular violin lessons with Sarah for nearly a year now. 
Sarah is patient and encouraging. She is also very good at keeping my son on track during the lessons. Her explanation of music theory and technique can be easily understood by both adults and children and her guidance in implementing said technique is invaluable. During our time together, Sarah's teaching has brought us from zero violin experience to learning grade 2 pieces, and grade 3 scales.
