Fabulous service from start to finish. 2hrs response. Quote visit in two days. Ben is very knowledgeable, polite and always on time. Fixed our leaking roof in two days. Every step was documented in photos and discussed with us. Some extra issues been discovered on the first day and options to tackle them were talked through. We went with additional work with extra cost as it was better option prolonging roof's life. If you want to stick to quoted price Ben will do his best, but I advise to listen to him. It was a pleasure to have Ben and his team working on our roof. We chose Ben because of his knowledge of modern materials and systems, and he has achieved a complete re-design of the complicated valleys joining the pitched roofs of our 77 year-old house and 30 year-old extension. The main valleys have been replaced by a 3-layer system, heat-welded onto the wooden supporting boards, the lower sections of the roof have been redesigned to drain into them, and three of the ridges replaced by a new system that involves clips between the tiles and an under-membrane, solving the problem of some of the joining cement cracking. All works were shown to us every day with photos and videos, and there was a continual discussion of how best to approach the substantial task. There were interim leaks, due to an exceptionally heavy overnight rainstorm during the middle of the works, which were promptly rectified even though Ben was planning to take the day off for a special event. So we definitely feel that we made the right choice, and now have a substantial replacement for what was revealed to be, in part, some previous dodgy work. Have been troubled by leaks for a number of years - thought fixed - we had another contractor but again a leak. Put job up on Bark and Ben contacted quickly and came out and gave a variety of solutions- really took the time to explain and was really easy to communicate with.
Ben and Derick worked very hard - often late in some difficult conditions but just kept going to ensure all watertight.

I have no hesitation in recommending Ben Sanderson for roof requirements. He’s honest, straightforward, reliable and did an excellent job repairing my roof.

On Thursday of last week I needed to clear my loft space in preparation of the installation of Solar Panels that coming Monday and whilst doing that I discovered a large section of the roofing felt had come away from the underside of the tiles. Panic mode immediately set in. I went online Friday morning to seek out local roofing companies to see if anyone could help me and that was when I came across Looe Roofing Experts. Within a few minutes of contacting Ben, he got back to me and arranged to come up to see me on the Friday lunchtime. When Ben and Derek arrived, Ben immediately surveyed the damage and presented me with a number of common sense options to consider. As the roof tiles were in good order we decided to completely replace all the roofing felt including that on the elevation that would support the solar panels. That was the easy bit, my main concern was the fact it was Friday and the solar guys were coming on the following Monday so Ben decided to give up his Sunday to replace the felt on the elevation for the solar panels enabling that work to go forward on Monday. Ben and Derek arrive early Sunday morning and worked solidly right through the day to Sunday evening and carried out a first class profession job under a great deal of pressure and for this I will be eternally grateful. Ben then returned the following Wednesday and completed the remaining repairs to a very high standard indeed. This project being my mother’s house which I had to oversee from afar. His use of IT technology in explaining the problem via WhatsApp video (inc. a drone survey) was nothing short of magnificent. Resulting in a final discussion on the options and pros and cons of each.

I requested five contractors to quote and three turned up (the other two didn’t even let me know they wouldn’t turn up). Ben was far the most informative and polite of all that quoted.
