I have been in the building trade for 40 years now retired,had a leaking roof due to faulty flashing,called Essex roofing pat came over found fault and repaired same day.
3 weeks later I now have his whole team around building a annexe for my mother in law in the back garden.
I am very impressed at their prompt service and fair pricing.

Essex roofing came to do my flat roof in 2016. Worked again for me in 2020 on my porch roof. A couple weeks ago I found out that they are now doing all aspects of building works so I decided to give them another call last week to do my exterior rendering due to it bubbling and needing some attention. Even though I did not get Essex Roofing to work on our roof, they still get a top rating. They warned me off using some cowboy roofers. They went to a lot of trouble to check them out for me. Even after having rejected their quote, they kept in touch, and offered any help that I may need, such as agreeing to speak to the police and Trading Standards, if needed. My advice: never give jobs to cold callers, even for trivial work. Not all cold callers are bad, but some are seriously dangerous. Again, a full 5 star rating! More...

We would highly recommend.

Straight from the outset Pat was great, friendly and professional, he even called me on a Saturday to discuss what we wanted doing and to discuss options.

One of his team came round a couple of days later to inspect but to be clear he was a real builder/roofer and not a salesman. Again a lovely, friendly bloke who clearly knows what he’s talking about.

The quote was a little higher than some others but we decided to go with them simply because we got a better vibe from them.

The work was very quickly scheduled in and the team were fantastic throughout. The job was done to a very high standard and they even did a few extra bits to the surrounding area to really make the work stand out.

The guys worked hard and smart the 2 and half days they were here and Pat even popped by to see how they were getting on.

We are delighted with the final result and we will definitely keep them in mind for any future work we may need.

Pat was very straight forward and honest with issues with my roof, offered a couple of solutions with both the benefits and drawbacks of each.
When secondary problems occurred he was super fast in providing a solution and endless advice always taking in consideration my budget limitations.
It has been a month now since the work was done and put to weather proof.
Also offered a very generous warranty on the work and all round availability to come and fix it any problems occur on the future.
I am very please with the end work.
I reckon I have the nicest roof in the neighborhood now.
Massive thanks to Pat and his team for dealing with this so quickly and efficiently.
I definitely recommend his work to anyone.

I had a leak in the roof of my extension which was the result of poor workmanship by the original installer. This centred around sealing around the skylight and making it water tight. They were very professional, in that they showed me what the problems were and took the entire area back, to correctly install the roof membrane the right way up and lead seal around the skylights.
They took away the rubbish, and left the area tidy. They definitely know what they are doing and i was confident enough to have some extra work done while they were here. More...
