Starting to rate this place again. Last year we stopped going as it went down hill very quick! Thought we’d give it one last try since it has been taken over and glad to say we will be back often now! The lad that was on tonight (didn’t catch his name) we couldn’t fault his service! just sampled the new tasting menu tonight, 6 courses ,everyone as good as the previous one served on a beautiful selection of crockery and HOT plates 🍽 😋 couldn't fault anything , tasty, tender meat and fish accompanying beautifully cooked vegetables, and lush creamy risotto 10/10 well done chef excellent job 👌

Neil and his team were one of the catering vans at our village music festival.

We stayed in the Woodmans Annexe over the weekend. What a gem of a place! Alison who has the Woodmans Cottage was very friendly and her 2 Swiss Mountain dogs greeted us warmly. The Woodmans Annexe was perfect for us. Beautifully decorated, excellent shower and having the fridge and mini freezer was a bonus for our nightcap 😉 The Forresters Arms has had an amazing transformation since our last visit. Its still very homely but very much improved. We were well served and when family joined us on the Saturday, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the private dining room. Stayed here with my family including our dog! Everyone was so lovely and couldn’t help out enough :) we were nervous about taking our dog as she can be a bit barky! But we were made to feel so welcome and she enjoyed it. The food was lovely especially the stone baked pizza! Plenty of breakfast options for the morning including regular sized juice glasses instead of the tiny ones in big chains. Honestly had such a lovely stay thank you so much 🥰 Ps also loved all the quirky decor pieces such as the floating side tables and the wardrobe! More...

We can deliver cold buffets on platters ready to serve with disposable plates, cutlery, and napkins. We offer options to add sweet treats also. Staff to serve and clear is an added extra cost as is the use of china crockery & cutlery.

We love BBQ! Using our horsebox kitchen we freshly cook and repair your chosen menu on site using the finest ingredients. The minimum number would be 75. We can also provide a bar facility if required. Payment can be as ordered or pre paid.
Pizza
We can cook to-order Pizzas using our horsebox kitchen. Menus can be tailored to your needs. We can offer this facility for guests to pay for their own orders, or pre-ordered and paid for an event.
Ideal for parties, weddings, open days, pop ups etc.
Afternoon teas & ploughmans
We offer a delivery service for afternoon teas and ploughman's made freshly to order. An amazing option for social functions, open days, and corporate functions.
