They had the plans ready when they said, they let us make changes and discussed them with us. Frontier took care of the planning application for us, which was approved and also dealt with our Party Wall Award with our neighbours.

Unfortunately the delays in being able to complete your award were not down to Frontier Architecture Ltd. The availability of your neighbour for access to their property due to their availability and Covid/medical related issues meant that the Schedule of Condition could not be carried out for weeks after sending the Notices. Furthermore please be mindful that once the Schedule of Condition was carried out, the Award was formed and published in 24hrs. Whilst we understand that your works were delayed this was not the fault of Frontier Architecture Ltd.

What do you love most about your job?
The opportunity to interact with people on a constantly varying platform of work and helping our clients take their ideas and/or wants and creating designs and making those ideas and aspirations real.
There is great satisfaction in meeting a clients expectations and being able to provide the advice they need and then taking that further to providing designs and permissions to see those ideas become something real. Many clients whether residential or commercial can find the process of design and the planning process daunting. It's great when we get feedback not only about the qulity of our designs but also on how we provided much needed relief in dealing with the planning and Party Wall processes.
We are lucky to work in an industry where our ideas often become tangible and you can see people enjoying the results of our work.
We have also had the opportunity to work with developers, NHS trusts and Charities in projects that help the wider community and improve the aesthetics and local facilities. To be able to be involved in such projects and see something you have designed being used by so many people is greatly rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My mother and father both have worked for companies and also owned companies themselves. My father has been involved in the architectural and construction industries for decades and I have always enjoyed the aspects of design and seeing the designs actually become real.
I was influenced by my parents to work for myself, with the understanding that whilst having the flexibility to dictate my own work schedule and projects, there would also be the responsibility to provide the best service possible and grow a business that could continue to offer more, to more people whilst maintaining a high standard of service and product.
As a result I have been able to meet many different clients and work on an array of projects whilst always taking time to keep myself up to date with changes to legislation and educate myself constantly. I have been able to make decisions to work in collaboration with other companies and individuals to further enhance what we can offer our clients and am not limited to having to work on a specific type of architectural design or geographic area and can offer our services to our clients at rates which are affordable to them for the service they require.
The ability to be flexible with time has helped me in being able to spend a lot of time with my own young family and as someone who is happy to work unconventional hours at times to meet a deadline I have been able to adapt, whilst still offering the same level of service even during difficult times such as during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Finally, we have been able to train and provide opportunities to younger people interested in the industry to get paid first hand experience in the design and surveying aspects of our business, visiting sites, meeting clients, providing input and creating a relationship that can continue to grow and benefit both them and our clients in the long term.

We aim to provide ideas, solutions and answer any queries with the aim of achieving clarity with regards to the design our clients want and the planning and Party Wall processes.
We have a vast number of years of experience and bring that experience into every clients project to provide them with best ideas, solutions and results for their proposed works. Over that time we have built relationships with local authorities in all of the areas we cover to obtain positive outcomes in a timely manner.
Our fees are based on the time we believe a project will require. We do not fee build and we provide a breakdown of the fees up front before commencing any works. Our timelines for completion of our works are efficient and we are always open to accommodating projects that may have shorter deadlines than normal.
In addition to our own services, we have reliable structural consultants and sub-contractors we can introduce clients to, to help with the next phase of the actual building works.

Yes, we work for some clients entirely remotely, in the case of planning consultancy this can be for the entire process.
With the cases of design & planning and Party Wall Matters, at least 1 site visit would be required.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We take lateral flow tests to ensure that we are negative and not putting anyone at risk. In addition, we wear masks when in enclosed spaces and in addition we sanitise both ourselves and our kit before and after every appointment.
