A fantastic service we have been perfectly matched with Ashley who had our sprocker Lucy for just over two weeks and had an amazing stay with this family. the pupdates and photos were amazing showing us that Lucy was loving life and the love and care that was shown to her was outstanding. My mother, who is almost 80, recently lost her dog in April of this year to cancer. Whilst still grieving, my mother called dig for dogs to advise of her loss and cancel her booking. The booking wasn't until August, so plenty of notice was given. Although the lady she spoke to was empathetic, she only offered a 50% refund and claimed the remaining 50% was to cover admin charges. So, digs for dogs admin fees when cancelling are £250, which seem rather excessive in my professional opinion as a Procurement Contract Manager. This is day light robbery and I will be pursuing the outstanding balance once I have reviewed the T&Cs. Rest assured, as a family, we will never use this service again, nor would we recommended it. We were referred to Catherine's dog walking services by a neighbor. We were initially concerned because our dog is very nervous, especially around new people. However, Catherine and her husband have been incredibly wonderful. They empathise with our concerns and worked through them. Their understanding of dogs and their behavior is exceptional. Since our dog started walking and socialising with other dogs under Catherine's care, we have noticed a definite improvement. I cannot recommend Catherine enough; she is lovely, and now Kobi gets excited when he sees her and the van. More...

Such a great experience using digs for dogs with us being first time dog parents! Emma put us at ease and came and met our puppy before then taking him to meet his temporary owners to ensure they were a good fit! Taco loved them so all was set for when we went away. We received pupdates while we were away and pictures of him too which put our mind at ease massively. Highly professional service from start to end with Lesley. My dog was matched to a perfect couple who treated him like he was their own. I received regular updates and was totally at ease in the knowledge he was being well looked after. Bolton area Barrow Bridge - Two woman from this company were walking across the field in barrow bridge just after the 63 steps today with 7 off lead dogs, I put my dog on a lead as I could see them in the distance, two of the dogs (black lab and black and white cocker) with them ran across the field and towards my dog, but dogs were friendly but did not have any recall as the woman called them both back over 30 times and neither of the dogs returned to them, they decided to sniff my dog and jump on him instead. You’d think as professionals they would be able to see I had placed my dog back on his lead for a reason and didn’t want to be approached by off lead dogs. They were not close enough to be able to grab any of the dogs if my dog was reactive and they had been a fight. Luckily this wasn’t the case I’m just the nervous one. Eventually my friend had to walk on with my dog whilst I held the other two dogs collars whilst one of the ladies made their way across the field to drag the two dogs back to where they originally was. I wouldn’t personally recommend them walking my dog if they let them off with no recall in place, anyone could have picked them dogs up and walked away or they could have been hurt if a reactive dog decided to attack. The woman offered no apology to me, they simply laughed it off and walked away, not very professional. Hope I’m the future they don’t bump into another dog who would hurt someone beloved pet because of the lack of common sense of the people they pay money too look after their dog! More...

So happy to have found this great alternative to kennels. Emma (Warrington & surrounding areas) did a fabulous job from our initial enquiry to dropping Dennis off after his holiday. The welcome pack included a list of items to pack and told us everything we needed to know. We especially loved the photo updates, showing what a great time he was having. Our elderly cross Staffie needs extra TLC these days so we decided to try Digs for Dogs when we were away for a week. Susan at the Prestwich branch was great. She came to the house to meet our old boy and do a full assessment first. He was placed with the lovely Joanne who sent photos of how comfy and settled he was. We couldn't ask for a better service. Rafa has been on two walks with Nicole now and the videos she sends me show a very happy and friendly group of dogs. Rafa bounces along and it’s just the best feeling. I didn’t think my other dog, Lana, would want to go along on the walks. She is very shy and nervous when meeting new people, but Nicole has made her feel so happy and relaxed she’s joining the group as well for walks. What a fantastic week it’s been for us all. we use Pete and Louise for our 1 year old newfoundland Hector and they are absolutely amazing with him, I was warey of using a dog walking service as most won't have experience of such a big dog but know Peter and Louise have newfs of their own made the decision so much easier and I am so glad I did. they are amazing with him and he loves his walks with them. can't recommend them enough. As soon as I made contact with Digs for Dogs and met Seana I knew that our Beagle Milo would be well looked after whilst we were away. From the first meeting it was obvious that Seana was a dog person and Milo took a liking to her immediately! I soon felt confident that Milo would be placed with a loving family that would care for him as much as we do. Exactly that happened, he had a wonderful holiday and was reluctant to return home! From homemade meals (he was disgusted at the return of his regular biscuits), walks and socialising with all of his new dog friends we know that he was well cared for. From the very first contact with Lesley, we have been put totally at ease. Our Boston Terrier Jet, absolutely LOVES her holidays . Jet has been matched to a couple of families, and she has had a brilliant time at all of them. Sometimes we think she enjoys her holidays more than being at home (who doesn’t!). During the recent heat wave , I was reassured daily that she was ok, being kept cool, and generally being pampered. This really helped us to enjoy our holiday, as she is a short nosed breed, so can be prone to over heating. When Jet sees Lesley call to collect her , she does a happy dance! I’ve used them twice and will happily send my dog again. They are really organised, get to know the dog to make sure he/ she properly placed, pick up and drop off and send daily videos so you know all going well. Really friendly and caring with the dog and quick to reply to put your mind at rest too. Clearly understand and like dogs. Highly Recommend Digs for Dogs! Our Willow went on her first “holiday” this summer and we really had peace of mind that she was being cared for properly and given the attention she would have had at home. Joanne went the extra mile to make sure Willow was with the right family, starting with a very thorough assessment and later taking her to meet the family and walk with their own dog to make sure they got on well and would be fine living together for the week.
