I am extremely pleased with this company’s work. All the people involved were very friendly and worked really hard. I can recommend them very highly especially after having had other companies doing shoddy work and letting me down badly.

After receiving the quotes we went a head and arranged a date for instalion.
On that day two guys Steve and Trevor arrived and started to do
the work , Steve keeping me updated with the Schedule and on
completion invited to inspsect the finished job.

Really great service from quote to completion all in a space of a week. The house felt warmer after a matter of an hour. They removed all the old insulation that from a house that was only 12 years old wasn't fit for purpose and replaced it with much better stuff. Excellent job, well done. The 3 man team arrived on time. Team leader Arron with Brownie and Callum proved to be pleasant, courteous, hard working and professional. They worked hard in difficult tight spaces, removed all the old material replacing new Knauf insulation.
Carpets were all well protected. It was a 3 day job, tidied up each day and left everything clean and tidy when leaving.
The team worked through the day without tea or lunch breaks. We had to persuade them to take a coffee and biscuit to sustain their energy levels.

Company was so helpful. They were great to,work with. They explained the full procedure of what they would be doing and sent pictures and videos so i could see before, during and after. Contacted Carbon Zero Solutions for a quote to remove closed cell insulation from our loft.
Emma came and inspected our loft then explained exactly what could be done and the procedure. Emma was very reassuring and knowlegible which inspired confidence.
We went with Emma’s quote and arranged a starting date.
All went extremely well. The three men Kieron,Henry and Blane were really good. They done a great job, nothing was to much trouble for them. They cleaned up every day. Always cheerful.
Always sent a text if they were held up for any reason. Cannot rate these three highly enough.
Overall very happy with the job and would highly recommend

Thank you for the follow up feedback. We can confirm that once we provided the video evidence that all the work was correctly completed to the standard expected and our contractual obligations, that you then paid the balance.

I had Carbon Zero in my house to remove foam insulation from the loft. From start to finish they worked very hard tidying up after themselves at all times. They arrived early in the day and left late putting in a long days work. I was kept informed at all times of progress in the work being done. It was a pleasure to have the workmen in our house as they were true professionals in their field.

Ok to start with. A good quote to replace ten year old insulation in the attic. When the fitting team arrived they went up to survey and came down almost immediately with puzzled expressions on their faces. Why was I replacing perfectly sound insulation with exactly the same product. It didn’t make sense. The surveyor had told us it was too damp to be efficient but he had only tested around the hatch. The team rang hq and were told to proceed with the work. I agreed as an extra layer would be added and a loft ladder was going to be installed. The team was very good and when they had finished I was invited up to inspect the work which was lit by the light from a mobile phone. I thus failed to notice that there were only 15 vents in view instead of twenty. The next day I received a call from the company demanding final payment. I said I was withholding a sum until I had been given legal advice regarding the necessity for the work being done. What followed was a tirade of sbusive
language like I’ve never heard before. I tried to tell him that I would pay for what I was satisfied with but the shouting continued. This has been reported to the police and identified as a crime. Since then I have been harassed for full final payment. I have reluctantly paid it off so I can grieve the death of my sister in peace. Beware - look for a Trusted Trader. More...

This is a review we had been expecting and hoped for as it would give us the chance to tell about our experience in this transaction. I have been in the customer service secrir for over 30 years and inhave never experience anything quite like what has happened. But first i would like to give a brief run down of what happened. Our suveyor noticed you had condensation issues, some of the insulation was wet and alot of it was mouldy. You also had poor ventilation. There was alot of evidence that the loft had historical vermin issues and there was faeces everywhere. Our surveyor grab a piece of insulation in front of you and you felt how wet it was. You seen with your own eyes and felt the dampness of the insulation. You decided that you wanted a quote to replace and start again. We quoted for the work and you came back to us saying you wanted to go ahead. There was no pressure selling or tactics to make you make a quick decision. We carried out the work and one small part could not be completed, this was explained and a fresh invoice for the reduced amount was sent over after the job was complete. Which you said you would pay by transfer. The next day we noticed that it still hadnt been paid so we gave you a call. This was when we experience something that we had never experience before. You said you didnt want to pay and that you had changed your mind and didnt think you should of had the work done. Bit late for that and you had plenty of time to make you mind up or stop the work before we started. Its not a service we can just take back. When told you would have to pay you got angry and said you would not. The only line of defence that we have as a company to instigate a claim through county court. Of course you dismissed this and said you wouldnt pay. We sent you a 7 day notice order, which evidently worked as you paid a lump sum of the balance off. But then you started to complain that certain parts of the work had not been complete. We then informed you that all parts of the work had been photographed and recorded as video and we could prove that everything was complete and supplied. This also must of worked and changed your course of action as you promplty paid what was owed, but then decided to write your reviews. In summary, we dont pressure people to buy from us. We do a fantastic job which we record and keep on file for instances like this and of course to show other potential new customers our work. All we ask for in return as that our work gets paid for based on our written agreement. The Team

The sales consultant (Jim) was excellent, knew his stuff and didn't pressure us into having more than was required. He arranged a very rapid turn around for the contract and installation to suit our wishes. The installation team ( Sam, Ben and Chris) were also excellent, a bit late arriving but then with no fuss no mess very quickly installed as expected- answered our questions and showed us the video of the installed loft installation. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Carbon Zero Solutions for the removal of spray foam insulation. The initial inspection and survey of our loft by Emma, the co-owner of the company, gave us complete confidence to engage Carbon Zero Solutions Ltd to remove the offending foam and to re-insulate the loft to the required specifications. Her detailed video expose of the loft area, accompanied by her perceptive comments on what was wrong and what needed to be done was extremely reassuring.

The work involved turned out to be a nine day job, involving 3, 5 or 6 personnel. It was a difficult, hot and tedious task. Every speck of foam was eradicated and the loft floor was raised to allow traditional insulation to be inserted.

We were impressed by the work effort of all the teams who were involved. The lads were polite, respectful of our property, worked well as a team and took great care to protect the non-working area of the house. Great experience from start to finish. No hard sell, price was really reasonable, the installation took 2 hours, they removed old tanks and wood and left my home beautifully tidy. Thank you so much.

Just had membrane and hybrid installed in our rafters. Everyone we have spoken with have been helpful and considerate to our circumstances. From initial contact by emma through to our consultation with Ben and aided through the process by John. All were Helpful, knowledgable and reliable. Fantastic installation by 3 sound blokes and grafted so hard they got it done in 5 hours. Flexible payment options too. Cleaned up before leaving. I engaged this firm to install loft insolation. Price agreed and date confirmed for work to commence. Deposit of nearly £600 paid. They failed to appear on the agreed date. When I phoned I was told that they have discovered that their van needed to be serviced but they still intended to attend. By lunchtime no show. Job cancelled when they wanted to reschedule. Confirmation received that they would return my deposit. No refund has been received to date. In the meantime I have had to find an alternative firm, pay another deposit and pending a charge back via my credit card company will also have to pay my bill when due shortly. Excellent service from start to finish. I was given a quote promptly after the initial survey of the loft space and the works were booked in a time frame that we requested. The work was carried out efficiently and with care. The closed cell foam on the rafters had to be removed without damage to our new felt. The results are brilliant and you would never know any foam had been there. Care was taken to cover the landing and stairs and all areas were left clean and tidy when the work was finished. Do Not Use! Google drive link with photos of their work as evidence that I used them so that they can’t respond saying that they “don’t have a record of me”.

I chose this company due to their reviews on Bark, but I’m now questioning if these were genuine as I’ve never had such a poor experience with a contractor! Supposed to be a 5 day job to add some insulation to a bedroom & loft, it’s now almost 2 months and I’m still dealing with the state that they left. They weren’t cheap either!

The main person - John, visited the property and then sent a team to do the work. He then visited the property once after a few days to see how it was going, but would not come back to look at the finished work or to see any of the issues I raised.

Communication was poor & blunt, there were multiple days where they didn’t turn up after we’d arranged to be home and I had to chase to find out they weren’t attending. During this job they took all the plaster off the wrong wall, managed to cover the light switch in my loft with insulation and had to buy a replacement socket as they broke one.

The quality of the work is poor and they had no respect for my property. The put down a few dust sheets but did not cover the whole carpet (you can literally see the line where the sheets ended) and didn’t stop when these sheets were torn or had holes in. I had to call a professional carpet cleaner out afterwards and he called it the worst state he’d ever seen. He advised a carpet replacement but CZS won’t pay for that and I can’t afford new carpets after this work (there are photos of this in the drive link) - CZS only agreed to cover part of the cost of the carpet clean even though they caused the mess. I raised concerns with the quality of the plastering to John - it was messy, lots of cracks, not smooth, areas missed, parts falling of the wall, a nail sticking out of the wall and he sent the same plasterer back out (who, while being a nice guy kept telling me that he wanted to be gone as soon as possible because of the travel). This did not resolve the issues and I’ve not had to arrange another better contractor at my own cost to fix the plastering so that we can actually get our bedroom back.

I am in the process of taking this matter further to try and get some of my money back as John is now ignoring my messages & not responding. Awful all round, do not believe the review score!

Its unfortunate that you felt the need to write this review, but uou sre entitled to write whatever you want. You had major construction work carried out where we had to rip out all the plasterwork in the too floor of your home that has 3 sets of stairs. You were informed that it would be a messy job. Most people woukd understand it woukd be messy and there woukd be a degree of tidying up after wards. You asked us to cover the cost of cleaning the carpet. We agreed as long as the cost was withing reason. You got a quote, we agreed. You sent us a bill, we paid. But then you started to push for more. When we stood our ground and said no, the threats started. We have everything in writing and too can supply a google drive. The bottom line is, cinstruction us messy anx dusty. We cover everything with plastic, but tgere will be dust in the air that will settle. People have to understand there will be a clean up process afterwards

Job was overpriced. No dust sheets so old glass fibre insulation everywhere including from many dislodged lights sockets. Am unable to obtain a completion certificate from them. More...

That you for this review. Its a shame that you gave us 2 stars. We have photos and videos of the job where plastic sheeting can be seen covering and protecting your floor. The spot lights you have are old and the fittings are tired. They kept popping out with the slightest movement. We understand you had an electrician booked to come in after us. Most would have had this done before the insulation as it would have been easier. You had been given a quote, i believe you had several and chose us out of the bunch. You made the decision to use us at the price we quoted. As a company we treat all if our customers the same and we work from a fixed price frame work.

Professional and friendly staff. They were able to get my attic insulated fast and effectively.
