Paul first came to work at our hotel in 2022, he saved us a fortune, after another electrician told us we would need a new consumer unit and quoted the earth. Paul came long with his trusty big brown book of regulations and showed us exactly where it said we didn’t, he would have quite happily changed it and his quote was cheaper, but he didn’t want us spending money we didn’t have to. Since then, Paul has looked after all our electrical needs. When he decided to set up on his own, we had no hesitation offering him a maintenance contract. Last October he rewired several of our guest bedrooms during a planned upgrade. At all times, he has been professional, always tidied up after himself, nice to our guests when he has had cause to interact with them, and his work has been of the highest standard. What do you love most about your job?
We are keeping our clients safe, by ensuring their electrical installation performs correctly. Being able to calculate the prospective earth fault current, then confirming the protection devices ( circuit breakers, RCD’s, Rcbo’s etc) will operate in 0.1 seconds, and knowing that when you have correctly designed and installed a system, the people using that system are safe because 0f your knowledge and expertise…..That is what I love most about my job.
Also the look on our customers face, when they realise that we are’nt just there to try and sell them a new consumer unit or a re-wire. Don’t get me wrong there are many times when it is a necessity, but our decisions and advice will be given with reference to the relevant regulations, and with our customers best interests and safety at heart.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working for yourself means, the buck stops with you, I am the ambassador for my company, but also I write it’s mission statements, so I guess I like having full control, I answer only to my clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
We will always give you our honest opinion, that opinion will be made after consulting the regulations to ensure an installation is performing as it should. We won’t try to sell you something you don’t need, usually giving several safe alternatives (should they exist) that conform to current safety regulations.
Whether we are installing a new plug socket , moving a ceiling light, or designing a new installation (new build or rewire), we will be mindful of the costs, and ensure we use the most economical, safe solutions available to us. At all times you the client will be informed, presented with choices and given the final say. Our only stipulation is that we will never cut corners, all alternatives must conform to BS7671, and the provision of electrical installations within dwellings (if applicable).
Full & Partial Rewires
Full & Partial rewires, Part P approved, compliant with BS7671 IET wiring regulations 18th edition (Amendment 3). once the installation is complete, we will perform initial verification and commissioning, to fully certify that your new installation is safe. You will be provided with full certification for your records, upon completion.
Electrical Safety Certificates (EICR)
We provide comprehensive reports, confirming the safety of your Electrical system. Upon completion you will be supplied with a report detailing each circuit tested.
