What inspired you to start your own business?

Since 1995 Sutton McGrath Hartley have been a Chartered Accountancy firm based in Sheffield and Chesterfield. In 2018 the firm began an exciting growth period, acquiring aspiring firms across the Yorkshire and Derbyshire region.

Now, with over 120 staff across 8 offices and additional services being offered within the group, it has become clear that for the clients of each office to benefit, everything should be tied together with a new SMH branding.

In 2022, the SMH Group was born, with all the individual offices having their original names prefixed with ‘SMH’. The change allows us to give each office access to the wider group’s services, whilst keeping the local knowledge and expertise in each area.
