What kind of accounting services do you provide?

We provide a full, chartered accountancy and tax planning service to small businesses and start-ups across a range of business sectors. We aim to make things as simple and hassle-free for all our clients, whilst also helping to make their businesses as profitable and as tax efficient as possible.

We are accredited partners of Xero, Dext and Pleo - the online, award-winning accounting packages that reduces the burden of managing business finances - providing real-time financial data that's critical for any small business owner.

As well as offering the usual services you'd come to expect from a traditional accountant, as chartered accountants we go much further.

We can provide a fully outsourced finance department and finance director service for your business. We specialise in business planning & growth support for start-ups and established businesses, offering unrivalled knowledge and expertise when it comes to UK Taxation.

We also offer a comprehensive management and financial reporting solution for your business, allowing you to make key business decisions armed with accurate and realistic data.

Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?

"Combining unrivalled knowledge, skill and commitment, chartered accountants enable businesses, organisations and individuals to achieve their financial and strategic goals with rigour, integrity and vision.” – ICAEW.

Chartered accountants were founders of the accountancy profession and have led its global development. By law anyone can call themselves an accountant. The title ‘chartered accountant’ and the letters ACA or FCA, however, indicates that they have undertaken a minimum of three years n-depth training, passed a series of rigorous examinations in financial management, auditing, business strategy and taxation, and have committed to continuing professional development to keep their skills up to date.

Chartered Accountants are not only capable of providing everyday, basic accountancy services ranging from bookkeeping to help with self-assessment tax returns – they are also perfectly placed to offer in-depth taxation, business & strategic advice and guidance across a broad range of sectors and entity types, for example Charities, Ltd companies, partnerships and sole-traders

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing our clients businesses and quality of life grow from scratch is extremely rewarding. This is a great source of satisfaction for us here at Connected Accounting. Getting truly embedded with our clients, taking a non-traditional and modern approach to accounting and finance means that we can play a major role in helping them succeed — and we love that!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Have you ever seen something so poorly executed you thought, “I could do that way better!” That’s why we began Connected Accounting. Being in the accounting industry for over 20 years showed us that we could do a lot better for our clients. Most accountancy firms don't offer the 360 degree service that we offer in terms of accountancy, business and tax planning. We set out in 2015 to spread our vision of what an Accountancy and Business Adviser Firm should be - a firm which strives to help you achieve your goals of success!

Why should our clients choose you?

"Accounting is simple when you trust your Accountant" - Samuel Troy FCA.

Remember that anyone can call themselves a 'bookkeeper' or 'accountant'. Although unqualified accountants are subject to the same law as chartered accountants, ICAEW Chartered Accountants are bound by the organisational Code of Ethics and are subject to disciplinary procedures from the ICAEW. Chartered Accountants are required by businesses for a number of reasons that include financial reporting, corporate finance, auditing, forensic accounting, taxation, business recovery and insolvency.

You will often find chartered accountants occupying the key finance director roles in organisations, using their financial knowledge and expertise to control the management of the business and to help it develop.

So if you want unrivalled professionalism, expertise and experience that you can trust, that doesn't break the bank and is a cut above the standard high street 'bookkeeper' or 'accountant' or service, then you've come to the right place.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Absolutely! Even before COVID19, we were setup and prepared to service all our clients, utilising the latest award-winning cloud accountancy software such as Xero, Receipt Bank and Pleo amongst others. We also make it a habit to have regular facetime meetings with our clients via Video, making sure everything is ticking along nicely!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All of our client meetings are currently taking place over Zoom. Where we do have to meet with you in person at our offices, we adhere to the current Government COVID guidelines as respects regular testing of staff, social distancing, mask wearing and regular sanitizing of hands and key touch points.
