Excellent service, very efficient and friendly, booked again

Re: Dog Grooming
I just wanted to thank you for the professional and caring manner in which you undertook the grooming of my black Labrador – Archie.
He can be a little nervous and the way you put him at ease, was very much appreciated.
I was impressed with the whole process and would happily recommend you to anyone who is looking for a dog grooming service for their dog.

Dog & Pet Grooming

Kirsty was lovely - she came into our home with no fuss and Ruby was happy to let her take care of her. Ruby looks beautiful and i will definitely be welcoming Kirsty back again.

Thank you Kirsty for doing such a great job on our Boarder x Patterdale Terrier, Buster, yesterday. In this lockdown our current groomer has been self isolating as vulnerable herself so when I met Kirsty through Just Networking Romsey I was interested to see if she could trim Buster as a one off which Kirsty was more than happy to do a home visit, which I was also interested in. Normally Buster is clipped, not too short and have tried stripping ourselves in the past, but he hates both forms as we thought so Kirsty was warned. Buster has got stressed i.e. he wines a lot unless I'm out of the way and trying to strip him ourselves he will not let us near his back end!
I'm not sure if it was because we decided to try having him stripped instead or that he was happier having it done in his own garden, but with Kirsty no wining even when I was in sight! Also I think he looks so much better having been stripped than clipped, his coat is more ginger. Kirsty thinks his coat will grow better too i.e. the blond that he turns into when his coat is long, instead of ginger, is probably his under coat growing because of being clipped instead of his top coat being allowed to grow. So overall I am really pleased with not only Kirsty's expertise but her confidence in dealing with Buster knowing he can be difficult because he gets stressed. My current groomer unfortunately doesn't do stripping so although sad to change as she is a friend, I will be continuing to have Kirsty visit and groom Buster and also still catch up with my dog grooming friend for coffees. Win win! Thankyou Kirsty.

Daisy, my 4yo mini schnauzer, loves Kirsty & is always excited to see her. Daisy's coat always looks great after a groom - and she ends up smelling fantastic too!
Kirsty is very professional, reliable and friendly - I'd highly recommend her.

Kirsty at Trixie & Bess is an excellent groomer - very conscientious, efficient and professional. Jessie, our Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, can be wilful, stubborn and plain awkward but Kirsty always remains patient and in control. Jessie is a new dog after a session with Kirsty. Perfect! More...

Q&As

It's so different to working as a Graphic Designer where I sit in front of a computer everyday. But it still allows me to be creative, just with scissors and clippers instead. Plus I get to work with animals as well.

Like many people who train as a pet groomer, it’s a second career. My first one being a graphic designer (which I still do at k-creative).

As a child I was always interested in animals and looked at working with them as a career. But decided I wasn’t intelligent enough to be a vet and it was too hard to make a living working with horses.

I never considered pet grooming as an option at the time. I don’t think it was even thought of as a career back then. So I opted for design instead.

Fast forward a good few years and after over 25+ years in design I decided I wanted to do something else and preferably with animals. So I had a light bulb moment... how about pet grooming.

I'm very conscientious about the work I do. From making sure I arrive on time, to keeping the pet happy and the owner pleased with the final result.
