This is the first time in 4 years that I have had to leave woody with someone other than friends or family. When you open the car and your dog smells the Barkley their tail will start wagging and doesn't seem to stop!
It's a great environment for socialising and relaxing too. The owners are caring and take your dogs needs into great consideration. My puppy, Brandy is worn out and happy when I pick her up and is great with other dogs due to early exposure.
You won't find a better facility in the area that will cater for all your needs.

Luci has been working with me and Bandit for about 4 months now. We have completed their Level 1 and Level 2 awards and are now working on continuation awards and a routine for a show ( yikes! ) Bandit loves the reward and praise based learning, it helps him focus and socialise in a controlled environment. Although they are not up and running yet I know this will be a great place to leave your dog for a holiday . Pierre and Luci love dogs and look after their two rescue dogs brilliantly , they even helped heathlands animal sanctuary out with two very elderly terriers over the Christmas period that had been left homeless . The most amazing place for our dog EVER!!!! Our dog is an extremely important member of our family. In looking for day care for our boy we took a huge amount of time to find a place and person who we would even consider looking after Cooper. Finally we found Pierre!

We would never consider going anywhere else. Pierre looks after Cooper as a complete professional and also someone who truly loves dogs and understands them!!!!

We cannot recommend Pierre highly enough and would be more than happy to provide, without hesitation, a gleeming refrence for Pierre and the Barkley.

We did a dog yoga class recently, and my dog isn't normally one for slow paced anything. I can't begin to explain the change in our training. It's helped my focus as much as anything - which was, no doubt, our biggest problem.
Just the simple matter of using a mat for training has changed our whole regime. He see's the mat as the fun treat time and is actually working hard to understand what I want him to do, and by focusing on what he does on the mat I am finding it so much easier to show him what I want him to do. Being first time dog owners we knew we'd benefit from some training and guidance. Luci has been amazing with our dog and talking us through different techniques to help his learning. Dexter has really enjoyed going to training so he can show off all his learning. Not only has Luci taught us to teach basic commands and tricks, she's also shown us how to connect with Dexter which is worth its weight in gold. The Barkley provides a 5 Star service to the dogs and customers they look after. The dogs are provided with a home from home experience. They have the chance to just chill on the sofa if they wish and a huge exercise area which is fully enclosed and safe to run and play in. They get plenty of stimulation and they even provide an in house training option if people are struggling with their dogs behaviour. The dogs get the opportunity to interact with each other in a controlled manor and all personalities and temperaments are catered for. If certain dogs don't get on they are managed professionally, separated if necessary into different area's and supervised at all times. Modern dog training techniques are used to manage the dogs and Luci and Pierre have strong force-free ethics and use positive reinforcement only. Their rates are very reasonable and their customers only have good things to say. They get booked for months in advance which only proves how happy their customers are! More...

The Barkley is a home from home for all dogs. They can cater for everything, from older chilled out dogs who like to rest on the sofa, to high energy dogs who need plenty of exercise. Everyone has their spot in Pierre's house! Would never send my dog to traditional kennels again. Such a minor difference in the price for such a massive difference in your dog's enjoyment of their time away. A* service and would recommend to all my friends. More...
