Mimi did the hair & make-up for myself and a friend for a wedding we were attending and I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. She listened carefully to what we wanted and the end result was perfect. The make-up felt natural and light, not at all caked on like some of my past experiences and it lasted all night. Mimi did my makeup for my wedding in April and I was so so happy with what she did! I don't usually wear much makeup at all, and felt incredibly indecisive as to what look / colours to go for, as having seen Mimi's portfolio, I knew she could do anything, and so to pick just one look for so many photos was a struggle for me! As I don't wear makeup every day, I knew I wanted something natural, and I took Mimi's advice as to what would suit me, and by the end of our trial together, I was thrilled with the results and felt really confident that what Mimi had done, was exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. I was quite nervous in the run-up to the wedding but Mimi is so professional, she made me feel very relaxed and calm. I'm not too confident in my appearances and so as vain as it is, the whole hair & makeup thing was what I was most nervous about but on the day Mimi honestly made me feel a million dollars and I got so many complements from my friends and family. We've already got the photos back from our professional photographer and my makeup looks amazing in all of these! Again, I usually squirm at any photo of me but I'm really happy with the way I look in all of them, even the less professional ones, taken by friends and family!
Mimi also did my sister (& bridesmaid) and friend's makeup for the day - they both looked amazing too and have written their own reviews to say how pleased they were. Mimi also did my Mum's makeup, who loved it as well. My Mum has quite sensitive skin and for this reason doesn't ever wear makeup, but the products Mimi used are all hypo allergenic and Mimi's set up is so clean and organised that she instantly put my Mum at ease. Mimi knew exactly which products to use for more sensitive skin.
In summary, we were 4 very very happy girls on my wedding day all thanks to Mimi, and I only feel sad that I will probably never look that good again! Mimi is exceptionally talented and I would recommend her to every Bride to be, she is certain to make anyone look their most beautiful! More...

Would recommend to others in a heartbeat �

Mimi came recommend to me and what a great recommendation it was. From emailing to get quotes and asking questions, Mimi was prompt with her responses and beyond helpful. I’d mentioned that I was struggling for someone to do our hair and Mimi gave me some brilliant recommendations (of which I went with one)

I had a trial 2 months before the wedding (April) and Mimi made me feel so relaxed. I don’t generally wear a lot of make up and although I had some idea of how I wanted to look, I was a bit of a blank canvas..(I also loved the make up at the trial that much, that I booked Mimi to do my make up for my hen do, which was perfect and definitely made me feel the part �)

Mimi had me and 3 others to do on the morning of the wedding (June)...she put together a rough time plan based around the hair times and this really helped the getting ready process go so smoothly.

We all looked absolutely beautiful and my bridesmaid and Mum were all really pleased with how they looked. The make up stayed in place all day and looked great on the pictures.

Mimi has a great eye for colours/tones/what works/ what doesn’t...she’s contemporary but classic, with vintage thrown in..if your looking for a make up artist for your wedding/event/special occasion Mimi is the answer.

I would 100% recommend Mimi for hair & makeup.

Mimi did hair and make up for my wedding recently and she did an amazing job. She kept in touch with me from making my booking and right up until my wedding day. Our hair & makeup lasted the whole day and looked fab in all the pics. I had one trial before the wedding.

Mimi completely understood the look I was going for, for my big day which wasn’t the typical bridal look and did a great job.

Mimi recently did the makeup for myself, my mum and two bridesmaids for my wedding and we all absolutely loved it!

The four of us have very different skin tones and suit different things, and Mimi made great suggestions to make sure we all looked the part without putting anyone out of their comfort zone. Our makeup lasted all day and looked amazing in our photos, so I’d definitely recommend to anyone!!

We had one trial which really helped to choose our looks, and we also had our hair done by one of Mimi’s recommended stylists. Mimi did my bridal makeup & hair, some of my bridesmaids & Mother of the bride as a last min request (which didn’t phase her at all! ).

Right from the trial I knew Mimi would be amazing. I showed her a picture of the look I was going for and she nailed it, i’ve never felt so beautiful .

Makeup stayed in place & it looked perfect all night, in all settings (indoor, outdoor etc) and looked great in the photos. I was tempted to not wash my face for the next few days .

My mum and I had our makeup done by the amazing Mimi Lomax for my wedding on 1st December.

My mum and I had a makeup trial each a month or so before the wedding. She even gave some tips about prepping my skin for the wedding day. Loved it when there, but then changed my mind on the type of eye makeup I wanted closer to my wedding date and Mimi completely understood and was more than happy to change it on the day!

On the day she was super relaxed and did my makeup perfectly, even with the changes I wanted from our trial! Absolutely loved it which is exactly what you want on your wedding day, and it lasted all day for all the photos - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good make up artist!

Mimi came highly recommended to me by a mutual friend and we were so glad we found her for my daughter's wedding ! From the trial at Mimi's home to the wedding day itself Mimi was professional, communicative and demonstrated that she is a highly skilled make-up artist.
She quickly understood the different looks my daughter and I wanted to achieve for the wedding day and was attentive to any questions or changes either of us had along the way. Mimi uses high-end cosmetic brands and tools and we were able to buy items she used on us for the wedding day - the lipstick she used on me is now one of my favourites! Both my daughter and I were delighted with the perfect wedding day make-up Mimi created for us and it lasted all day and into the evening celebrations with only the need for a lipstick touch-up!

Mimi was flexible meeting me at hotels for trials totally understanding my needs for the big day. Mimi adapted the make up to fit my bridal partys needs doing make up for a 20 something all the way to 70 something.

Mimi did the make-up for myself and four bridesmaids. She is great at what she does, highly professional and uses the best products. ..and has so many! She is very organised and sent me across her schedule for the wedding morning way before I had even planned everything for the wedding! Mimi is great with hair too, though we didn’t book to have our hair done, she helped us to select suited styles and add final touches.

We were all thrilled with our make-up which lasted us all day and night. We each have different skin tones which Mimi adapted to, making us look flawless.

She was also extremely calm throughout the morning despite a very frantic bride!

Mimi did an amazing job with the makeup for my sister's wedding. My sister looked stunning, so I jumped at the chance of having mine done too as bridesmaid! I don't usually wear much makeup but Mimi clearly knows her stuff and encouraged me to try fake eyelashes for the first time.
