I first met Paul in May of this year to help me with two very feisty and stubbon Jack Russell's that were simply uncontrollable when leaving the house to go for a walk. Deafening screams, pulling and dealing that would often escalate to aggression between them. I was absolutely at the end of my tether, embarrassed and heartbroken to think they has become so difficult in my care.

I had put some feelers out on this site and Paul contacted me. From our very first conversation with Paul my partner and I knew he was the man to help. Calm, confident, straight talking and very obviously knowledgeable, not once were we made to feel guilty for not getting help sooner (even though my pride had very clearly allowed the situation to become unmanageable). Paul arranged to come and meet the dogs and go from there. With the added issue of Coronavirus he made it clear that getting positive results has become slightly more drawn out due to being unable to enter the house, social distance etc. I obviously understood this, was grateful he was able to manage my expectations and felt safe he was taking my safety seriously too. I also accept that a dogs behaviour does not change overnight and this was going to be about training my partner and I probably more than the dogs!

Paul came over approximately four to five times over the following weeks. The psychology behind the dogs behaviour was explained in a way that was really easy to understand. Practical, simple but effective things were then taught to us so we were able to get the behaviour we did want from the dogs. I won't lie, it didn't happen overnight but I would say we noticed huge differences in the first two weeks. Taking things right back to basics and to our surprise we actually really enjoyed the process and would look forward to Paul's visits.

I cannot thank Paul enough for what he has done to change our entire doggy household. I love being around my dogs so much and feel we 'get on' so much better now the stress has gone. If you are willing to listen, put the work in and be completely honest about what is going on, Paul will work what I can only describe as his 'wizardry' on your dogs and get you to do it too.

The best bit for me, when the dogs have had a little set back or I feel confused, Paul has not hesitated to come over and set us straight....even way after we had worked him for every penny he earned!

I would have liked to have given a good review to Paul as he was excellent our first couple of visits. He was due to come again but due to circumstances he had to cancel, since then he has ignored my messages and calls. We were told that we would get 3 visits and he would be there if we ever needed his help with the dogs in the future. Well what can I say, I have only been working with Paul a few times, I have described my issues, which include ill health. He has been extremely supportive about my issues with a 5 year old British bull dog and a 7 month old British bull dog. What I have learnt from Paul is that nothing happens overnight and you have to be patient with the training. I could not recommend this trainer enough. Very knowledgeable and friendly

Paul has been amazing. We took on a yorkie-poo who had developed high anxiety levels & also became aggressive with other dogs, including the other 2 in the home.
I was slightly anxious myself having someone try and train a dog i thought would be un-trainable(specially during lockdown) and i would always worry with her going for other dogs, making walking her an unpleasant experience. On the very 1st meeting, Paul put me at ease is very easy to talk to, does not judge (which i was worried about as i dont always manage to take her out every day) and understood the needs of the dog instantly. After only meeting 3 times not only am i able to drop the long lead and she dosnt bolt, her anxiety levels are much lower, im alot more confident with her and meeting other dogs and there has been minimal aggression toward my other 2 dogs.
Any problems in between sessions and he is there to support on the phone with advise and support.
I can honestly say from someone who has been sceptical of hiring a trainer that Paul is 100% the perfect trainer for problem dogs. My dog is on the right track, much happier, is becoming a pleasure to walk and calmer in the house and around other dogs. We (me and my two male Jack Russell Terriers) have been working with Paul for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased with the training so far.

Paul 'talks sense' and knows his subject very well. I particularly like to hear about the psychology behind my dog's behaviour, the reasons why they act as they do in particular situations and therefore understanding better how to resolve any 'issues' we have.

I love my dogs and like to have a trainer who clearly enjoys being with them and is passionate about his work.

Paul is honestly amazing, a real pro.
I've had one session with him and my 2 dogs so far and even after that there is an enormous difference, I've been doing the training exercises Paul gave me with my dogs daily and they honestly work (you have to put the work and training in for it to actually work, don't expect miracles if you're not willing to put in the work your side) .
I'm a wheelchair user so some of the usual techniques just simply aren't possible, but Paul adapted teniques for me as he has promised to continue to do in our upcoming sessions and we've found ways around everything.
Since my first visit, Paul has kept in contact with me via text and telephone call despite his extremely busy schedule and I cannot wait for our next session coming up on Saturday to develop on what we've already been doing.
Paul is extremely personable and easy to talk to, as well as exceptionally understanding and a very kind man.
His pricing is extremely fair and worth every penny.

If your having any kind of issues with you dog(s), no matter the age (that's another great thing about Paul, he doesn't just work with puppies/young dogs, he will work with all ages and breeds), I would 100% highly recommend Paul, his been an absolute superstar, he really does know what his talking about and I honestly couldn't put into words how great his been as of yet.

Paul was fantastic with Hamish and we've really noticed a difference in his behaviour. He's a tricky pup and Paul listened carefully to what behaviour we wanted from our rescue dog who had a very dicey beginning to his life and then gave us tools to help achieve this. I suspect most of the training was with us and how we manage Hamish more than anything else though! We had several follow up calls as Paul went out of his way (literally! Geographically he travelled miles or of his way to come and help us!) He was very honest with us about what we could achieve and explained that this would not be an overnight fix. However, we really noticed the change in behaviour throughout the day Paul was with us and then in the weeks after.
Paul was our last ditch effort, having tried everything else available, as had we not been able to manage his behaviour we would not be in a position to keep Hamish. He was becoming aggressive and unpredictable. Not ideal with children of 8 and 10 whose safe keeping has to come first. Paul was brilliant in giving the children tools to deal with how Hamish works.
He was exceptionally patient with us all, very down to earth, answered all our questions no matter how silly they seemed, as well as working us hard but we also had fun (and cske!) along the way. I'm very happy to say that Hamish has improved hugely and wer are all relieved he is able to stay with us as we all love him hugely.
