I had a wonderful time at Tudor Rose yesterday, attending a course. Covid 19 rules were being strictly adhered to, and a lot of thought had gone into making everything work well. The class had less people than usual, everyone was spaced out from each other, and you had to put a mask on each time you left your table. The cafe served us lunchtime food in the room, and took payment by card. Everything worked very well, and even though I was nervous about going, I’m really glad I did. It was lovely to get back to crafting and the new routines and regulations made me feel safe... and weren’t hard to follow! More...

Always enjoy taking my wife for her purchases and sewing sessions as the coffee shop very welcoming, comfortable and excellent food and drink. I have spent a few full days rather than driving 4 x home and back! Tucked away in a corner and well looked after by the very friendly staff. Highly recommended!!! More...

I just attended a day course last week to learn about using an Overlocker and can’t recommend it highly enough. Pauline is a mine if information and experience and she takes all the mystery out of this otherwise scary machine ! Thank you so much!

The Tudor Rose is a remarkable and lovely shop in the old tradition of retail spaces that draw you in and almost force you to take up a new hobby just so you can buy something. There is so much in here that it just seems a shame to leave without something. There is a huge range of craft materials and tools that will almost certainly satisfy all your needs, especially if you are into any kind of needlework. Every corner seems designed to inspire and encourage you to try something different. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and there are courses available for a whole bunch of skills and crafting techniques. If I sound a bit gushy it's only because this is undoubtedly one of the best shops in Bedfordshire and certainly right up there in my top ten places to visit. They even have a delightful little coffee shop attached so it's great for a little outing to top up supplies and get some gift inspiration. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. More...

Fantastic place, craft, textile heaven, great service, couldn't fault, even for a newbie like me. I took a pre-cut kit back, and because I am a div' I had cut the material in the kit all wrong, the guy there sorted me out, AND gave me free material to do it properly. Thank you so much.

Visited this shop when seeing family down south, bought some fabric which I loved so needed to buy more a month later. Called up and bought it straight away over the phone, the fabric then arrived at my door less than 24 hours later! SO impressed by the customer service and a well stocked shop to visit (the cake doesn't hurt either!) More...

Shout out to this little gem of a local needlework shop. What can I say apart from fabulous, friendly and super helpful. Sandra helped me choose a frame to suit my needs, and when we realised my fabric was too small, they even added fabric to each side so it would fit the frame. And Graham was curious about my double ended embroidery needed that I'm going to try. The coffee shop has great regular and gluten free goodies too. I'd recommend the Mousetrap and the gluten free scone! More...

Fantastic help and support when choosing a frame for my needlework. Very happy to spend the time trying to find out what suited my needs (arthritic hands and a piece of embroidery that I want to finish by Christmas!
).
After finding my frame, we realised that my fabric was too small. Without hesitation, Sandra found some spare fabric and machine stitched it on my embroidery so it fitted perfectly.
Service was above and beyond from a small, local needlework shop.
I can thoroughly recommend Tudor Rose Patchwork for friendliness, advice and great customer service.
The little coffee shop even had gluten free goodies that were yummy.

Shared a making felt day with my grand-daughter. We had a great time. The tutor was really helpful, we made loads of things. Grand daughter was really proud of her bag and jewellery. Only blot was the 2 teenagers bad mouthing each other but I can't blame Tudor Rose for that. Thankfully grand daughter tried her best to ignore them. We will return. Thanks More...
